Any chance of Double Donor Days in January 2010?

I just received a message that my HCR subscription is about to run out. Just wondering how likely it would be to get Double Donor Days in January. I'd like to renew my subscription and get the double deal, if altogether possible. Thanks to everyone who makes this a great website.

Did it? Unfortunately I wasn't keeping track of when my subscription was gonna end. Still, I figured that it didn't hurt to put the question out there.

DDD isn't really on a schedule; but it does only happen once or twice a year; and normally in 6 month increments. I don't know for sure when it'll happen next ... but it normally happens when we need new hardware to expand out network. The last one paid for 3 new servers. That being said; we shouldn't need anything else for a while.

If I had to guess... I would say the next one will be in May/June.

He speaks the truth. It's a good way of filling in the gap until the next DDD (still no guarantee when that will be though).

Please understand that we don't want DDD to be something that people can plan for. It's part of our "surge equipment" plan, and it's a treat for those that visit the site on a weekly basis (which is why it runs for exactly 1 week).

I know it sucks; but it's a system that works for us.

Yeah, I'm on a monthly subscription - it's just easier for me that way.
