Here is a list of Marvel AEs to date, for those of you who are keeping track:
Thor <-> Enchantress
Mister Fantastic <-> Doctor Doom
Dr. Strange <-> Nightmare
Spider-Man <-> Hobgoblin
Wolverine <-> Sabretooth
Professor X <-> Magneto
Daredevil <-> Bullseye
It says right in the rulebook that a character can have multiple archenemies but this mechanic has yet to be utilized. One common complaint is that if someone like the say...the Green Goblin was released he'd be archenemies with both Spidey and Hobbie, which should really be the case. The two Goblins seldom met and they only fought once to the best of my knowledge. Wizkids could just say tough luck and get it as close as they can get it which means no all Goblin tournament teams. Or they could introduce a new rule that states that if two characters have the same team ability they are not archenemies even if they have the same color base. That would mean that Green Goblin and Hobgoblin could team up as long as they both have Sin Syn team abilities or something but since the Rookie Hobgoblin doesn't have the symbol (I think) he wouldn't be able to team up with GG.
For XPlosion we've seen the following AEs:
Spider-Man <-> ???
Iron Man <-> ???
Daredevil <-> ???
We don't know who the enemies are yet but if I had to venture a completely random guess I'd say Spider-Man might be AEs with Green Goblin or someone. I don't know who Iron Man's enemy would be...maybe someone like the Mandarin or Crimson Dynamo. Bullseye was Daredevil's first AE but his new AE should be someone he loved but who he couldn't get along with...like Elektra, but since we've already seen that she doesn't have an AE base maybe someone like...oh...I don't know...Typhoid Mary. (Actually Madame Masque would make a good IM AE for the same reason.) Also, I will allege that the new Hulk we have all seen would have an AE too. Maybe someone like Abomination or the Leader. Wouldn't it be cool if all of these guys came out. That would be something. But wouldn't it be cooler if instead of Webhead, Shellhead, Hornhead and Ol' Jade Jaws having one AE each in the next set, they had two each and Wizkids finally started using the multiple AE rules. I'm crossing my fingers.
