5 people, all one team abiltity and only above 200, no dups
If I understand you correctly (a single TA, no team point limit but each member has to be over 200 points) I'd expect to see a lot of Power Cosmic TA teams showing up. Has/have Galactus/colossal figs in general been specifically excluded?
Without going for any colossals, I might try this odd grouping:
HA044 Air-Walker 201
AV100 Silver Surfer 231
AV101 Terrax the Tamer 218
SV096 Thanos 267
HA051 Odin 295
TOTAL: 1212
... though I'd have to presume they'd been assembled specifically to defeat a threat so huge and all-encompassing to force them to work together. Maybe a zombie-infected Galactus, so that's his hunger is essentially insatiable?

Kind of a predictable scenario. I can only think of one team ability that is gonna have 5 non colossal characters over 200 pts (Power Cosmic). If you're counting colossals then 2 (PC and Quint).
You could use 5 of the following:
Odin
Air Walker
Ragnarok Surtur
AV Surfer
AV Terrax
SN V Surfer
Korvac
Thanos
Cosmic Doom
Mighty Thor
Chrome Nova
Chrome Surfer
If they are allowing colossals go
Spectre
Ganthet
Starro
Anti Monitor
Big Spectre

Now we are in a whole new area.
What is the point total for whole team?

i have a skrull team but thats it
I'd still probably lean towards Power Cosmic and play specifically off the "only one over 200" if my collection allowed, so as to include two or more of the ones that are exactly 200 points, probably choosing either Thanos or Odin as my one piece over 200 pts.

Really, you have to start with which clix you have available to you and work out from there.
I'm a little surprised at myself for running to the Min/Max as I did -- I'm really only in the game because of the comics element, so I tend to build teams based on the characters -- but I was also just expecting that some or most of the other players will go for the biggest powerhouses they can work into the build, and the built in Willpower and immunity from Outwit of the Power Cosmic bunch is going to be appealing.
If you're primarily going for a fun time, then start with a mix of pieces you have and want to play, giving some attention to which TA is going to be the most useful to you.
Do some searches in the Units section here on the site. That's an excellent starting point for cobbling together a team you'll enjoy fielding.
Thanos 267
Phyla-Vell 138
Wolverine 148
Firelord 176
Stardust 171
total 900

You could go with
E2 Supes
Robot Superman
R Icons Supes
CR Supergirl
Dark Knight
Or any combination of the under 200 crowd. There are some good ones to pick from.
Or you could use
NGN Supes and some bat allies.
Odin's a potent piece, yes, and I'd be fine with using him instead of Thanos for the high-priced piece on a Power Cosmic team.
A Skrull team can be very fun, and I'm all for playing something that's fun. I think that what most of us would be afraid of is that a Skrull team's going to find itself facing some very nasty characters given the build parameters for the event. I hate the idea of someone coming to an event looking to have a good time only to find most of the defensive and offensive tricks Outwitted and be blasted down again and again.
I presume your Skrull team will include the Super Skrull and perhaps a Warskrull? They're two of the best possibilities for that. Also, go with the Skrull versions of Ms. Marvel and probably Yellowjacket from SI. (Don't forget he can start with the Giant ability, you can use it to allow him to see the other side, then turn it off so he's less of a target. Also, remember that if he's within 6 squares of one of the opposing pieces and can see it he can use the Traitor SP to turn off the TA of the entire opposing team.)
Maybe use the Illuminati Skrull as your plus 200 piece -- it's really the only choice. If you play it well you can used some of them to protect others, make strategic strikes and possibly drive your opponent nuts with the combination of Skrull TA and Shape Change rolls some of them have.
Whichever way you go, enjoy what you play and maybe come back to let us know what you went with and how the event went. Good luck! :)

You could put V Icons in if you don't have E2.

why not try a Mystics or Avengers bit?
I dunno if this would fit, considering the Dual TA, but if one were to only be able to use one of them instead of both....
Thor/Loki
Hela
Deadman
HoT Enchantress
Sentinel (the exp Alan Scott GL from Origins)
and if Thoki's not allowed, swap him out for the SI Doom
For the skrull-mania, I'd agree...
Superskrull Illuminati
Superskrull Avengers
Ms. Skrull-Vel
Captain Skrull-Vel
Skrull Emperor (talk about annoying, I only now noticed his "scheme" power... sheesh! Timetrapper, meet your cheaper counterpart!)
Or if you just want flat beatings... well... and again, depending on what's available...
Avengers Ares
SI Sentry
SI Iron Man (sub for whatever Iron Man you may want to run- Tony Stark and the Vet AW Iron Man are excellent alternates for teh extra range)
Vet Clobberin Time Thor (or Vet SN Thor if you don't have the Ares, or just want more flavor)
and for the craziest notion of all.... Infinity Challenge Quasar. (mass TK, Barrier and solid range to ping with TK once he's done his "slinging o characters)
just odd ideas. I'd have offered a GL team but... there ARE no GL's that hit, much less exceed the 200 point mark.

I'd be running Worlds Finest as my over 200 piece.
It's be kinda fun to run the dual TA.
