Questions:
1.)Suppose the Flash is running using Hypersonic speed... and he runs onto a light/heavy object... does he have to stop? Or can he continue running for the rest of his movement?
2.)Also, if he is using hypersonic speed and runs onto a light/heavy object, makes his attack, does he have to stop? Or can he continue running the rest of his movement?

He has to stop both times.

Yes the objects count as hindering terrain so he has to stop. Its the limitation of grounded hypersonic figs.

And because the hypersonic speed attack is "During" the movement, I'm fairly certain you cannot make an attack from a square with hindering terrain in that caused you to stop.

just wanted to give the above answers an official approval. They are all correct.

ok, thanks guys!
The above info helps a TON! =)
(sadly, it also means the Flash ate it badly today...lol).

that's why Swingline is Flash's best friend. In Unrestricted, at least.
It's also what gives the Ultimates Quicksilver his big advantage, since he can ignore the hindering terrain on his movement.

I love the visual this gives me...
You don't see Flash because of his speediness, until he stops short of a boulder/Doom statue piece/WizDogs cart...
He busts out a grappling hook, tosses it, hops over the WizDogs cart, and disappears in a blur again.

I prefer to think of it as Flash putting a tag below his logo where it says 'Turbo version'. :)

Yes the objects count as hindering terrain so he has to stop. Its the limitation of non-flying hypersonic figs.
I know it seems like a small thing, but a figure is either a flyer or non-flyer, and is then either grounded or on elevated. Grounded has nothing to do with being effected by terrain.

Mind if I resurrect this thread to add a couple questions?
Hypersonic's attack happens during your movement. You can't do it if you land on an object that forces you to stop.
Two questions.
1: Since you have to attack "during" your movement, is it legal to declare the use of Hypersonic Speed, attack someone adjacent to your character, and then move away your full speed value?
2: Also, what if you run out of movement before you make your attack? Example: Nightcrawler has 14 speed. Can he go 14 squares and swing into the 15th, or does he have to go a max of 13 and swing into the 14th, THEN can go 1 more square?
That is all. :)

1. Absolutely
2. He can move 14 squares and make his attack, because unless he is stopped by an outside force, his movement isn't over until he says it is - he has 0 movement left, but has not ended his movement.

Ok. That's what I thought. :) I'd just seen differently on here on another thread, and that got my English major brain to overthinking the word "during," I guess. :)

Yes. Man, are you in trouble now! : - )

Yes it is. A move of zero is a legal move. This is a fun fact to remember behind a lot of HeroClix fun. Need to give a token to someone who is in a good spot for some reason (like, you want to give him pushing damage to get him to a better click), just give the figure a move of zero!
2: Also, what if you run out of movement before you make your attack? Example: Nightcrawler has 14 speed. Can he go 14 squares and swing into the 15th, or does he have to go a max of 13 and swing into the 14th, THEN can go 1 more square?
Same answer, but a bit harder to explain.
When you've run out of movement, you have zero movement left. So, you can take your zero movement that you have left after you make your attack. Nightcrawler doesn't have to attack on the thirteenth space.
This is different from being stopped. When Nightcrawler runs into hindering terrain, he stops moving. He doesn't even have zero movement left, he is stopped dead! "Stopped" is different from "zero movement left" in the same way that "no damage" (what Mind Control deals) is different from "zero damage" (what Incapacitate deals).
This isn't exactly intuitive, but it's how the game works.
That is all. :)
Yes, HeroClix is all. How profound! : - )

Surprised that no one mentioned this, but it depends on which flash, the crisis flash ignores hindering while moving so he wouldn't stop. FYI.

Most of the time, people answer with the default rule. It isn't worth listing the exceptions.

Note that entering into hindering terrain of any kind (light/heavy object included) stops movement immediately. Also not that the attacking portion of HSS takes place during the movement, so if you enter into hindering terrain, yo stop your movement and you cannot attack.
Charge is different as the Close Combat Action portion happens after the movement, so stopping in hindering terrain merely forces you to take the action then, but HSS get their attack during the movement portion.
EDIT: wow, when I came into this, all I noticed was the first response for some reason and didn't even notice the necroness of it. I am very astute today =]
