Ok, i've read that you need a clear line of fire - but to whom? Let's say it's your turn. you're attacking my figure and i have clear line of sight to my figure and i'm within 10 squares. But i do NOT have clear line of fire to YOUR figure that is making the attack. which figure do i need LOS to to use PC on YOUR turn?

Figure A (attacker)
Figure B (attackee)
Figure C (PCer)
Figure C has to have a clear shot at Figure A.
In other words, the PC'er needs to be able to see the character taking the action.

thanks for the opinions, guys, but is there anywhere it actually says that? has anyone asked the Big Hat? The power isn't listed as "hex," but "probility control." It's just as probable the shot was accurate but PC made the target alter course at the last second as it is to assume PC caused the attacker to stumble.
Does Hindering Terrain block line of fire/sight for PC

Mockingbyrd, the original PAC entry for Probability Control is where your answer can be found. Following the rules there, the PCer must have LOF to the figure performing the action, though to be more specific it is LOF to the figure whose reroll is being forced. When Bullseye attacks Daredevil, you must have LOF to Bullseye to force a reroll of the attack, but LOF to Daredevil to have him reroll Super Senses.
And unless the target is utilizing Stealth, hindering terrain does not stop PC/Perplex/Outwit.
Herocomplex,
So with X being the PC'er, Y being the attacker and H being hindering terrain probability control can be used in the following
X H Y

Yes, it can be used in that instance.
Any LOF which would allow an attack to be made allows PC to be used.

Thanks, HC, I love it when a guy (?) steps forward and restates something clearly. :)

But a "clear" line of fire wouldn't mean that nothing must be in the way, hindering terrain isn't clear, thats why you add 1 to your defense stat because the attack could hit a tree o an object instead
I think of a clear line of fire as if you could attack the opponant. You could hit through Hindering terrain.

Our friend Magnito is absolutely correct.
"To determine if there is a clear line of fire, use any straight edge or draw an imaginary line from the center of the attacker’s square to the center of the target’s square. Line of fire is blocked and the attack cannot be made if the imaginary line passes through a square that contains _a figure other than the attacker or the target, or the line of fire crosses blocking terrain. _"
So hindering terrain does not prevent LOS, only other figures or blocking terrain.
