The Avengers returned upstairs and gathered in the main meeting room of their west coast headquarters. Everyone came together at this hour of great need: Iron Man, the Golden Avenger, whose amazing suit of armor was currently manned by James Rhodes; the ionically powered Wonder Man, whose body was still undergoing incredible changes; the newlyweds Hawkeye and Mockingbird, the mutant Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, the leader of the group; the mysterious Moon Knight; Sersi, the stunning and inscrutable Eternal; the Vision, the alien android; and the wondrous Wasp – and Bill Foster, who stood nearly 20 feet tall.
Each of the Avengers struggled to deal with the scope of recent events. Their personal losses and the damage done to the Avengers’ west coast compound took a back seat to the vast scale of the invasion. Dr Doom was invading the USA with thousands upon thousands of his Doombots.
As the Avengers quickly gathered and processed news developments and intelligence reports, it became obvious that the wave of attacks had been carefully orchestrated and planned with great precision. New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Houston, Milwaukee, and many other significant cosmopolitan centers in the USA were under attack, and some had been effectively subjugated.
Nonetheless, there were also numerous signs of resistance. Super-powered individuals were making unexpected appearances on multiple fronts – even in Milwaukee.
Still, Dr Doom seemed to have the upper hand – and then the news worsened. The other Avengers fell silent as Ant-Man responded to a distress call.
“What’s that, Jarvis?” Ant-Man spoke into a microphone. “Your signal is weak; and this isn’t our normal frequency…” Ant-Man suspected the reason for Jarvis’ unusual mode of communication before the trusted employee could confirm it.
“Okay,” Ant-Man’s face was clouded with concern, and it was clear that he was thinking hard. “Stay out of sight. We’re sending a squad immediately.”
“What’s wrong?” asked the Scarlet Witch. Her concern for her teammates was again evident in her wrought facial expression.
Hank Pym’s stern response sent a wave of resolve through the heroes’ ranks. “Jarvis reports that our east coast headquarters has been overrun by another group of the Masters of Evil.” According to Javis, Zemo, Goliath, and several other super-powered villains had invaded the Avengers mansion and defeated the heroes there.
“Then let’s go!” exclaimed Hawkeye. “We can’t leave our teammates in the lurch!” Memories of the grueling, yet extremely rewarding training sessions with Captain America flashed though his mind.
The Avengers were about to head for their hangar en masse when another emergency signal broke through the media chatter and monitoring equipment. Wonder Man’s eyes locked onto the portentous images.
It was a report from one of San Diego’s local news stations. According to the reporter, who was trying to suppress her frantic tone, the expansive naval base there was under attack by Dr Doom. Wonder Man quickly accessed the police and military frequencies for more information.
“Hank,” Wonder Man called. “We have to help these people, too.”
“That’s the biggest naval facility on the west coast,” added Iron Man. “If Doom gets his hands on those missiles…”
“Then we’ll have to split up,” Ant-Man stated. The team divided quickly and without opportunity for much debate. Hawkeye, Tigra, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Wasp, and dashed to the hangar in order to fly to New York, while Wonder Man, Iron Man, Sersi, Mockingbird, and Moon Knight hurried to address the closer danger in San Diego.
Just before Ant-Man’s squad departed for New York to aid the east coast Avengers, Bill Foster squeezed a small device into Ant-Man’s hand. “Take this,” he said to his one-time friend. “You’ll be able to figure it out during the flight. It’s the breakthrough we were looking for…”
Hank was able to smile briefly at his friend despite the amount of bad news surrounding them. “Thanks, ‘big man;’ let’s hope I don’t need it.” He turned and ran toward the Avengers jet. Its engines were already loudly warming up, and the other Avengers were on board.

Bill Foster could hardly believe the turns of events. He had only wanted to share his discoveries with his friend and colleague, Hank Pym. His research into the potential of Pym particles had led to the unbelievable capability to grow instead of shrink. Zemo had invaded the Avengers mansion once before with Goliath and the Masters of Evil (see WCA #3 of September 2005) (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=146704). With additional insight gathered from scans of Goliath made at that time, Foster had been – so to speak – able to access the polarization of the Pym particles and reverse it.
It had been a sort of fantasy exercise when Foster designed his black-and-white costume, which identified him right away. Now, he sat aboard an Avengers jet and was about to fight alongside Earth’s greatest heroes. The extreme need of the Dr Doom’s extensive invasion made every bit of assistance – and resistance – welcome.
The flight to San Diego took longer than anyone on board wanted, even though it lasted less than 20 minutes in the sleek and speedy Avengers jet. Sersi watched Wonder Man’s powerful jaw clench with impatience. The Eternal smiled slyly, admiring Wonder Man’s ionic physique. He was practically pacing in his seat.
Mockingbird and Moon Knight sat silently and seemed far away, lost in thought. Each of them had objects of concerns thousands of miles away on the east coast: one, her husband; the other, his friends and estate, about which his current teammates knew nothing.
Iron Man soon announced, “We’re here, troops.” The view from their windows confirmed their fears.

On a result of 3-6 his sytems are rebooted and all his powers and abilities are restored.

WCAvengers turn 1a
The Avengers jet set down as quickly as Iron Man was able, which was fast, since the man inside the armor, Jim Rhodes, was a trained pilot. Dr Doom's forces had already blasted open a gate to the military base, and multiple mechanized dreadnoughts were advancing on the American defensive forces.
Iron Man called to the soldiers and sailors with the composure of an officer. "Fall back and retrench! Let us face Doom first and call in reinforcements!"
Bill Foster suppressed and anxiety he felt. He watched as Earth's Mightiest Heroes prepared to combat Dr Doom's forces. With strides longer than a man, he followed the Avengers into the fray.
- ('free' TA move) Iron Man/Anthony Stark (but really James Rhodes) moves to J7.
- ('free' TA move) Wonder Man grabs Mockingbird, makes a slight detour to pick up the HO in H5, and moves to N8, placing Mockingbird in M8.
- Sersi picks up Moon Knight and flies to I9, placing Moon Knight in H10.
- Goliath moves to J10.

Story:
Dr. Doom points at the commanding Doombot and says "Lead your troops wisely, my last leader did not do so well!" Doombot Commander Orders the Doombot to assume attack patern delta543. The other Doombots move out, each taking position and carrying their non flying Doombot with them.
Dr. Doom activates a forcefield that surrounds him as he lands in the small impact crater dropping of Doombot 5953.

WCAvengers turn 2a
Jim Rhodes hung back a bit to be sure that his erstwhile comrades were far enough from Doom's robots. True to their training, the soldiers and sailors were rapidly reinforcing their positions in an effort to defend their sprawling base.
The man in the suit of the Golden Avenger then returned his attention to the fray at hand. He saw Moon Knight dash forward on one flank and conceal himself amidst some brush.
On the other flank, Mockingbird leapt lithely forward past the giant form of Bill Foster. Wonder Man had grabbed a heavy trailer and hefted it with one ionically powered arm.
- Moon Knight grabs the LO in D13, and moves to C10 (where he is 'Stealthed').
- Mockingbird moves to L12.

Story:
Doombot Commander Ordered the other Doombots to move, but something was wrong with his communication array and none of the other doombots got his orders. They would have to act for themselves.
DR. Doom saw the coward Moon Knight Hiding in a small crater as he was launching some sand bags them towards his doombots. He maintained his Electronic Field and flew next to the crater dropping his doombot ally nearby also. Doombot 3 saw Ironman blast go by him, He picked up Doombot 5093 and flew to get a better angle on Ironman. Lastly, the rookie doombot moved up to cover Dr. Doom.

Hey man, you probably forgot, but Ironman couldn't outwit Doombots Toughness as per the BC.
BC: RESISTANCE (Days of Future Past #002): Characters can’t be the target of Outwit when they are adjacent to at least one friendly character with the same team symbol.
Special Rules:
- Battlefield Condition only benefits the WCA, not Doom and his team.

WCAvengers turn 4a
So, far, the Avengers had only managed to slow Dr Doom's advance -- certainly not stop it. Attacks by both Moon Knight and Iron Man had underestimated the mechanized warriors' tactical abilities, as they had taken cover and managed to avoid getting hit.
Mockingbird noticed that the Doombots were moving to get a better angle against Iron Man. The Golden Avenger seemed to be hesitating. Mockingbird inquired, "Is something wrong, Iron Man?"
"No," replied Iron Man. "It's just..." He held his left gauntlet against his helmet, as if trying to block out background noise. "I think I've picked up the frequency the robots are using to coordinate their attack. I sent out a pulse to disrupt it just now, but I need to isolate it."
"Gotcha," replied Mockingbird. She leapt ahead as the two nearest robots alit. They fired at her, but her combat-trained reflexes made it hard for them to hit her.
- Mockingbird moves to P15.
- Goliath picks up the HO in L11 and moves to H10.

Story:
Dr Doom's sensors had shown him Moon Knights location. He pretended not to notice Moon Knight hiding in the Crater. He switched the energy from his Electric field to his guantlets. Then, he struck with both of them on an unsuspecting Moon Knight. Moon Knight's body pulsed with Electricy as he was wracked with pain. "Now", Doom yelled to his doombot ally, "finish him!". Doombot 5953 then opened fire with a plasma blast, striking Moon Knight in the chest, knocking him to the ground unconscious. Dooms metallic voice yelled "No one gets away from Doom!!!". Doombot 6 saw Mocking bird heading towards him, but his targeting sensors could not lock on to her elusive body. Finally, Doombot Commander grabbed the large doombot and flew off the roof landing on the ground. Looking for a better tactical position.

( wow, i swear the Doombot 3095 i had upstairs on the map has no TA on its dial; strangely, i did a little research, and another Doombot 3095 in my collection has the Minions of Doom TA on its dial!... weird... being new to our RPSC, you might not know that i use the real figures and real maps up in our attic... that's why i didn't post the dials, and i try not to look ahead at all at the figures' stats... )

Iron Man was distracted: there were too many important objects demanding his attention. Mockingbird was having a hard time dealing with two of the Doombots in close quarters, and Iron Man wanted to come to her aid. He also continued his efforts to disrupt the coordination of the robots by interrupting the leadership frequency.
Iron Man's repulsor beams shot out, but once again, the Golden Avenger missed his mark. Dr Doom's automatons were clearly programmed to thwart such attacks, which was infuriating.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, Bill Foster was forced to witness first-hand how dangerous life as a super-hero can be. He saw Moon Knight's battered and burned body lying amidst the cover he had taken. Anger arose in Bill Foster's belly, and he hurled a heavy piece of machinery at Dr Doom.
It flew toward its target, then bounced off harmlessly, as if Dr Doom were surrounded by a force field. Imperiously, Dr Doom's gaze shifted slowly from the unconscious form of Moon Knight to Bill Foster. The ruler of Latveria was apparently not impressed by Foster's twenty-foot height.

Story:
Doombot Commander Ordered everyone into from recon mode to attack mode. All of the doombot switch their modes, obeying his commands. He then pushed his circuit and fired a blast towards Mocking Bird, but she easily dodged it. Dr. Doom fired a small laser at Goliath, it hit and sent our a homing signal, which Doombot 4 used to guide his Plasma beam to it target. The attack struck Goliath square in the chest, but the behemoth seem only slighty agitated.
Doombot 3 attempted to fly away from mocking bird while carrying Doombot 3095, but mocking bird blocked his path. Lastly, the Large Doombot walked around the Doombot Commander and prepared to fire.

( your application of the Hydra TA has me puzzled... in your turn 5b, i do not see how the V Doombot would have gained a +1 to its :a-fist: because the V Dreadnought had no LoFire to the target in question (i.e. Mockingbird) ... meanwhile, my bad rolls continue... )
WCAvengers turn 6a
Mockingbird was a highly skilled combatant. Besides her SHIELD training, she and Tigra had trained together, and her husband had also shared some of the secrets he had learned from Captain America. Her combat reflexes granted her an edge against these clumsy robots of Dr Doom in close quarters. Even though another Doombot was taking pot shots at her from a distance, she was holding her own very well.
She ducked below one of the Doombot's extended arms and sent a knife-edge kick against its knee joint. It was a blow that would have crippled a flesh-and-blood opponent.
"Autsch!" she cried. Stabbing pain shot through her foot. Where cartilage and lugament would have been torn under her attack, her foot met hardened steel alloy instead.
Meanwhile, Sersi saw that she needed to switch tactics. Her attempt to control one of the Doombots had failed for she had briefly forgotten that no biological operator drove their attack. Instead, she directed a force blast against Dr Doom himself, but somehow the advanced armor of the Latverian ruler deflected the blast. It struck the Doombot servant standing nearby.
- Mockingbird attacks Doombot 3095 using CCE > :a-fist:9 vs :d-normal:16 > roll: 1+1=2 CRITICAL MISS. ( can you believe this?... ) Mockingbird takes 1 damage.
- Sersi pushes and attacks Dr Doom > :a-fist:9 vs :d-normal:16 > roll: 6+5=11 HIT. ( finally!... ) Dr Doom uses Mastermind per your instructions, so Doombot 5953 takes 2 damage after Toughness. Sersi takes 1 pushing damage.

The doom team ability allows Wild Card. So they can use any other team members ability. So All of them had Hydra team ability. Also, I believe only the person attacking need LOS to the Target. I'm pretty sure that is the case.
By the way, You rolled a Critical miss, Dude you need to switch dice rollers, Which one are you useing?

Sure, i presume your entire team is copying the Hydra TA. But the TA functions (quoting from the FF PACard):
"For each character using the Hydra team ability that is adjacent to a friendly character making a ranged combat attack, the friendly character’s attack value can be modified by +1. All characters using the team ability to modify a friendly character’s attack value must have a clear line of fire to the target, though the target needs to be within range of only the character making the attack."
"Dice roller," you ask. Pfui! I use real figures, real maps, and real dice (and i haven't used the same pair for all of these poor rolls... )

Story:
Dr. Doom saw the blast from Sersi Heading towards him. He ordered Doombot 5953 to shield him. The Doombot extended his arms and a Metallic Shield formed from his limbs infront of Dr. Doom,the blast struck the shield and channeled around Dr. Doom hitting the Doombot instead. "How dare you attack me fools. I'm am Doom!!!! Now you will suffer for your attack", said Dr. Doom.
He extended his arms and two missles were launched each on homing in on Goliath and Sersi. By following a Laser guided mark placed by Doombot 5953. Both missles struck home, Golaith attempted to shield Sersi, and took most of the attack, but neither escaped unharmed. Doom yelled "Get them my Robots". Doombot 4's circuts began to overheat, but he continued to fire and lauched a Rocket which was headed for Goliath, but it was swatted out of the air by his hand before exploding.
Now Doombot 5953 fired laser at Sersi, she saw the attack coming and was grazed by it.

( it's great to learn things through these games, too; with all the Special Powers and interactions with feats etc. it's hard to know if a particular move is legal sometimes, and then i show up at the local venue and feel uncertain... are you able to play much face-to-face?
i agree about the mediocre qualiy of the WizKids dice, but i can't say their dice have served me poorly; i have a pair of theirs that i take with me to the venue... but upstairs i've been using primarily a pair that were a little gift at our local judge's wedding reception... )
WCAvengers turn 7a
Wonder Man entered the fray in a big way. He rushed forward, hefting a heavy trailer, and attacked one of the largest Doombots. Wielding the heavy object as easily as a normal person might make a tennis forehand, Wonder Man walloped the robot with incredible strength. The trailer disintegrated upon impact, and the robot's exoskeleton was severely damaged. Wires were exposed, sparks were flying, and shards of metal flew onto the ground. "That's more like it," Wonder Man said.
Iron Man tried to attack the same robot of Dr Doom's for the third time. <SKRAAK> The telltale sound of his fearsome repulsor rays could be heard, but his shot was errant again. 'What is wrong with me?' thought Rhodes. His targeting systems did not seem to be in agreement with what his own eyes were telling him. Was something wrong with his vision? It was similar to the problems he had encountered against Morgan Le Fay (see WCA #27 http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=257223), as he suddenly realized that he was experiencing a sort of double vision again...
- Wonder Man uses Charge, moving to K16 and attacking the V Dreadnought/Large Doombot > :a-fist:10 vs :d-normal:15 > roll: 2+6=8 HIT. V Dreadnought takes 5 damage (4 +2 (HO) -1 (Toughness)). HO destroyed.
- Goliath moves to D14.
- ('free') Iron Man uses Outwit to counter Toughness on the E Doombot.
- Iron Man attacks the E Doombot > :a-fist:9 vs :d-normal:15 +1 (hindering) > roll: 5+1=6 MISS.

4) Dr. Doom pushes and range combat attacks Sersi. Att 10+1=11 vs DF13 needs 3. Rolls a (3,3)=6. Sersi takes 3+1+1=5 damage and is KO'ed. Doom takes a click for the push.
5) Free Doombot 3 switches team ability to hydra.
6) Free Doombot 3905 switch team ability to hydra.
7) Doombot 3095 uses willpower and pushes range combat on Mocking Bird. Att 8+1(hydra)9 vs DF16+1=17 needs a 8. Rolls a (2,2) and misses.
8) Doombot commander picks up Large Doombot and attempts to Breakaway from Wonderman. Rolls a 5. Then continues to move to E19 dropping Large Doombot at F18.
9) Doombot 3 picks up Doombot 3095 and attempts to break away from Mocking Bird. Rolls a 3 and fails.
Story:
Dr. Doom saw Goliath move away. He knew he would have a limited chance to hit Sersi. He again used the laser guidance of Doombat 5953 and fired a plasma blast into Sersi. The blast hit her square, and she screamed in pain and fell to the ground unconscious.
"I told you that was angered woman, and now you have felt my wrath!", said Doom
Doombot Command picked up what was left of the Large Doombot and flew away from Wonderman landing by the Ammunition hut.
Doombot 3095 fired his blaster at Mocking Bird, but she easily dodged the attack, while at the same time Mocking Bird stopped Doombot 3 from flying away.

I have the V Doombot's Speed on its second click as 7. Did you forget the -2 for Carry? or am I overlooking something?

WCAvengers turn 8a
Mockingbird's ankle bothered her more than she would have expected. It was hard for her to plant properly to get much force behind her blows. Her chops and kicks glanced harmlessly off the Doombot's metallic frame.
Goliath, too, was in pain. He had been blasted by none less than Dr Doom and -- so far, at least -- survived to tell of it. He fought through his pain and used his great size and enhanced strength to his advantage. He grabbed one of the Doombots by the leg just as it had leveled its blaster at him. He ripped the robot into the air and brought it down hard onto the ground. The Doombot flailed like a doll in the hands of an upset child. Goliath allowed himself to take out some of his pain and frustration on the non-human Doombot, pounding it again and again into the ground. Finally, the robot's leg was torn off, and its torso remained lying on the ground, terminated.

WCAvengers turn 9a
IronMan's vision was worsening. He found it difficult to focus on his target. It was as though the targeting systems of the suit were tellinghim one thing and his eyes were saying another. Almost out of sheer frustration, he swore out loud and closed his eyes, allowing the sophisticated on-board computer systems make the final adjustments in targeting.
<SKRAAAK> Repulsor rays shot out and struck the Doombot nearest Mockingbird,. They hit full force and hurtled the robot several meters backwards. Jim Rhodes opened his eyes. He had a splitting headache, but had to grin slightly at the success of his attack...
- Iron Man uses Outwit to counter Toughness on the E Doombot and attacks same > :a-fist:9 vs :d-normal:15 +1 (hindering) > roll: 4+4=8 HIT (finally!). E Doombot takes 3 damage and suffers knockback to O19.

4) Dr. Doom Pics up Doombot 5953 and flies to G8 dropping him at F8
Story:
Dr Doom attempted to radio his Doombots, but some type of interference was blocking the signals. Undoubtably, some device from Tony Stark's armour. So he picked up Doombot 5953 and flew around the Tank putting Stark in his sights. 'So Stark, you have blocked the communication channels with my robots! No matter I have given them the ability to think and learn for themselves, this is just a minor setback before you are destroyed. So Says Doom!!!"
Doombot 3095 just couldn't hit Mockingbird, but when he saw Stark hit the Doombot next to him he knew who the real threat was. He switched his arm from plasma blaster to EMP and fired at Stark. The EMP wave hit Stark as his systems began to shutdown he fell to the ground. Doombot 3 knew his shutdown was near, so he flew next to Wonderman and prepared for the end.

There seems to be a little confusion here (mostly on my part, it seems). Doombot 3095 gets (unfortunately) lucky and hits Iron Man with the Special Rule EMP weapon; okay.
Dr Doom picked up Doombot 5953 (not Doombot 3095); okay...

I was about to move Goliath in my turn when i noticed that he was down to (1/8) (from 3/) in my turn 9a )but your turn mentioned nothing of an attack on Goliath... which surprises me; wouldn't the V Doombot attack?

Dude. Goliath is not hit. I accidently must have changed that he is still at 3. Some times on my blackberry the mouse jumps and I don't notice it.
sorry. I do remember when I was putting action 1, I got a phone call, so the mouse must have jumped and it got changed. Sorry about that, normally I check everything before posting, but today I have been really busy at work.

Somtimes using the Blackberry is just terrible. I usually take my turns on my home laptop, but at work they block HCrealms, so I have to use my Blackberry.

She quickly noticed, however, that it was aiming past her. <BZZZT> The shot went over her right shoulder. She spun to see what the robot had targeted. She saw Iron Man's armored form wrapped in electrical energy and heard the man inside yelling. It was hard to tell if it was an expression pain or shock or frustration.
Further behind Iron Man, she could see two more armored enemies approaching Iron Man. They had broken through the Avengers' defensive lines! Iron Man had been the rear guard, and Mockingbird realized that if he had been disabled, then nothing was stoppoing Dr Doom from advancing further into the military base. She leapt as fast as she could, dashing back to confront the imperious ruler of Latveria.
Meanwhile, Bill Foster was almost relieved that Dr Doom seemed to be ignoring him. He was, after all, injured, and blood stains were visible on his black-and-white costume. He took three long strides into a foxhole and sized up one of Doom's robots instead of facing the imperious ruler of Latveria himself...
- Goliath moves to E17.
- Mockingbird leaps to H7.

Doom Turn 10B:
As for Blackberry I usually print the map at home and just enter my moves from it. Work has blocked HCrealms, so it's the only way I can do it now.
Actions:
1) Free Dr. Doom Leadership Roll: 6 1 extra action (Probably don't need it anyway)
2) Doombot Commander moves to E13
3) Doombot 5953 moves to F17
4) Doombot 3095 uses willpower and pushes to move to J18
Story:
Dr. Doom changed frequencies on his radio transponder. "Stark, I have figured out how you were blocking me from communicating with my Doombots", said Dr. Doom
As he attempted contact his Doombots all but 2 of them failed to report in he knew they had been destroyed. He gave orders to the other Doombots which followed his commands.
Doombot 5953 moves to cover of some sandbags which allowed him to see mockingbird and Goliath. Doombot commander saw Goliath approaching and flew around landing behind him.
Doombot 3095 saw his chance with Ironman now on the ground and moved from behind cover.

{ just some story notes before i get up to the attic to ruminate on my turn: In our RPSC, the world believes Tony Stark to be dead, killed in a small nuclear explosion that was set off by and killed Obadiah Stane. The man inside the Iron Man armor (and CEO of Stark Enterprises) is Jim Rhodes. Only about four people know Stark is alive -- and nobody in the WCAvengers knows (except Rhodes, of course). He was nearly killed, and looked to be paralyzed for life initially, but revolutionary techniques have made it possible for him to recover. When we last saw Stark, he was able to walk slowly with a cane... }

two things: do you mean F12 as the move destination for Doombot 5953? That's what your map shows. Also, Doombot 5953 does not have LoFire to Mockingbird from F12 (unless, of course, Dr Doom moves away...)

Oh yea, That's right, You can close combat across corner, but not shoot across them.
I always forget that, because our group doesn't play like that. Snipers use walls to learn on for support, espcially around corners.
It's fine leave 5953 where he is. So who does Dr. Doom think is wearing the Ironman suit, then?

WCAvengers turn 11a
With the focus of an experienced military officer under duress, Jim Rhodes quickly proceeded through the protocal for EMP incapacitation. Tony had taught him well. The only problem was that this process took time, and Rhodes feared the Dr Doom would hurt his teammates or drive deeper into the military base while he was disabled.
As the suit's systems were rebooting, Rhodes noticed that his headache had eased considerably. HIs vision had cleared somewhat, too. As the visual interface and readout began to reappear, however, the tension in the back of his skull returned -- with a vengeance. 'What is wrong with this suit?' thought Rhodes.
Meanwhile, Wonder Man was trying to free himself of harassment. He defeated another weakened Doombot, striking it with a close combat attack, which was so potent that it sent the robot hurtling several meters backward.
- Wonder Man attacks E Doombot > :a-fist:10 vs :d-normal:12 > roll: 5+5=10 HIT. E Doombot takes 4 damage and is KOd.
- Goliath pushes (with Willpower) and moves to J19.
- Iron Man uses a power action and attempts to reboot his systems (as per Special Rule) > roll: 3 SUCCESS. With his other powers back, Iron Man uses Outwit to counter Dr Doom's Energy Explosion.

Story:
Dr. Doom watched Mockingbird land in front of him. "You have proved you are too tough to hit for my Robots, but I am Doom". Doom swung his fists toward Mockingbird and she easily side stepped the attack. "Perphaps I have underestimated you", Doom said.
Doombot 5953 aimed his targeting Laser on Goliath, and fired, but the plasma blast failed to hit its mark. Doombot 5953 then connected a electric cord to Doombot Commander and increase his energy output, causing minor damage to both of them. Doombot commander, fired a blast that hit
Goliath in the back, the behemoth lurched sideways and fell to the ground unconscious.

WCAvengers turn 12a
'There's something wrong here,' Mockingbird thought to herself, even as she was dodging armored gauntlets. 'This thing is fighting a lot like the other robots. This is almost too easy.'
Her adrenaline had blocked out most of the deleterious effects of her injured ankle. She had adjusted to the mechanical motions of the Doombots and found a sensitive component. By making a precision strike with her open palm against the side of the elbow joint, she managed to dislodge a couple small parts.
'Now I'm even more sure something is fishy. Dr Doom's armor shouldn't be this flimsy...' she thought.

Even though it was insulated his computer analysis was shut down for the time being."

WCAvengers turn 14a
Mockingbird was a bit distracted, puzzled by the unexpected turn of events here. Why did Doom seem to think that Tony Stark was still inside the Iron Man armor when everyone knew he had died? Wait -- that wasn't even Doom in that suit, it seemed. How could Doom lead an assault this complex by remote? And why go to the trouble of including a simulant of himself?
As Bobbi realized these troubling thoughts were flashing through her mind, 'Dr Doom' broke away from her and tried to reach a distance more advantageous for ranged attacks. Mockingbird leapt after it and was close behind it when <ZZZAP> She was struck by another robot's blaster.
Meanwhile, Wonder Man was getting fed up with being confronted with so much robotic cannon fodder. His view of the rest of the battlefield was obstructed and he had little idea how far Dr Doom had advanced into the military base.
"Get out of my way!" Wonder Man shouted. He delivered to the offending Doombot a smashing punch so mighty that the torso was immediately severed from the legs and the head. Like a cartoon, the legs and head remained in place for a moment before collapsing to the ground, while the pummeled torso landed several meters away. 'At least that's one robot less...' Simon thought.

Actions:
1) Doombot Commander pushes and Attacks Wonderman. Att 7 vs 16 needs a 9+ to hit. Rolls a (6,5)=11 and hits, but does 0 damage due to Impervious. Doombot commander takes 1 for the push.
Story:
Doombot Commander was contacted by Doom. You must fight a little longer for my plan to take effect. Attack Wonderman and keep him busy. Doombot commander knew he could only hurt Wonderman if he could find a weak spot in his armor. He analyzed Wonderman carefully and fire a plasma blast striking him in the eyes, but Wonderman was not hurt by the attack.

...dude, you'll note that i had no story post the previous turn, so i incorporated Wonder Man's earlier attack into the later turn's narrative... but thank you for the compliment, RB.

WCAvengers turn 15a
The relentless attack by the Doombot against Wonder Man surprised the ionically powered Avenger. The precision blast struck Simon right in the eyes, and shards of his red sunglasses went flying in every direction; yet the attack cause Simon no pain. It was like a toddler tearing off an adult's eyewear. Wonder Man was disoriented for a moment but certainly more angry than hurt.
<PANGNG> Dealing another powerful punch, Wonder Man saw to it that Dr Doom's minions were further reduced in number. The robot was effectively deactivated.
Iron Man came around the corner. In his armored hand, he held the transponder that 'Dr Doom' had just launched at him. "We've got you now, Doom," Iron Man asserted, sarcasm noticeable in the last word he said. "This thing barely slowed me down, and you made it possible for me to do this!"
The Golden Avenger hurled the device back at Dr Doom. It stuck to the despot's exposed metal leg and sent an electrical charge through the armor. "All I needed to do was switch the polarity on two of those circuits," Iron Man said.
Mockingbird was tired -- and injured, but she knew her opportunity had come. With her assailant going through spasms thanks to Iron Man's quick assistance, she whirled and added her body's momentum to her blow. An expert strike to the chin of 'Dr Doom' bent the armor's neck at a sickening angle. More sparks flew, and 'Dr Doom' fell to the ground, motionless.
- Wonder Man attacks the V Doombot (Commander) > :a-fist:10 vs :d-normal:13 > roll: 1+5=6 HIT. V Doombot takes 4 damage and is KOd.
- Iron Man moves to G10.

( thank you very much for the game, eagletsi... i thought i was in real trouble when Iron Man failed three times to roll a 7 and Mockingbird rolled a critical miss.... i sort of held Wonder Man (with his Impervious) back for a turn or two on purpose, as i'm sure you noticed... it doesn't seem like you were plying Doom and the robots very ruthlessly/carefully, though... :noid:

Well. I was overconfident early on in this game and thats what costed me the win. But only had Doom to damage Wonderman and Ironman. So I was hoping to dodge wonder man till the end and take out Ironman. but Sersi and Goliath, then Mockingbird really tied me down, so I couldn't complete the task.
Don't worry about stepping on my toes in the other thread. I don't worry about things like that. I just enjoy life as long as I can live it.

Epilogue
“… and stay down!” Mockingbird exclaimed. She stood over the unmoving form of a robot that deceptively resembled the form of Dr Doom. It had fought hard, but it had displayed weaknesses in its strategic capabilities and its structural stability. Mockingbird had been sorely tested, injured, and was breathing hard. She looked around quickly and noticed that the Avengers present, with some help from the valiant defenders of the naval station, had defeated all of the Doombots.
Wonder Man was breathing hard, too. He had taken out almost half of the invading Doombots himself. Dr Doom had arranged a tactical assault that had rendered Moon Knight, Sersi, and Bill Foster unconscious, but Iron Man and Wonder Man had once again shown the qualities that made them core members of the Avengers, the World’s Mightiest Heroes.
After a moment of hesitation, Mockingbird’s anger got the upper hand. “Why?!” she shouted. With the thought in her mind that the thing was only an automaton, she kicked the Dr Doom robot – hard. “Did you want the Navy’s missiles? What was the point of this?!”
She knew Iron Man would be interested in analyzing the Doombots’ circuitry, so she tried to suppress her rage. Her thoughts sped to Hawkeye and the rest of the team. They were probably nearing their destination on the east coast, where the other Avengers had reportedly been defeated by the Master of Evil.
At the moment, there was not much she could do for them. Her training took over, and she returned to the tasks at hand. She hurried over to the unconscious form of Moon Knight, intending to aid her colleagues…

According to Wakanda, my squad for WCAvengers #30 will include Thor and (a substitute figure for) Dr Druid. This 'Dr Druid' will be the same (substitute figure) as appeared in WCA issue #27: E Selene (59 points).
As to the iteration of Thor, I would like the Rookie from Supernova (112 points).
