View Full Version : Objects and their use/destruction
I have three questions about objects
1) If a figure has picked up an object but not yet used it, does it still count as hindering terrain?
2) Once an object is used does it's rubble create hindering terrain?
3) Do the answers to the above also apply to indoor and outdoor objects? (save for the dumpster on question 2)
Thanks

Metzagarob's got it right. For the Adventure Pack objects, the only special rules which they follow are those specifically outlined in the Adventure Pack rules. Unless an exception to the normal rules is described there, refer to the normal rules.
So once an object is used it is off the board

Someone told me that the Dumpster is not destroyed when it is used, which means once a Super Strength character picks it up, he can't get rid of it, short of throwing it at someone or being Outwitted. Does that apply to the action token dumpster, or just to the solid miniature Adventure Pack dumpster?

Per the rules for the Adventure Pack in which you can find the Dumpster (only the 3-D one), after being used it is placed in an unoccupied square adjacent to the target instead of being removed from the board. Any use of it will cause this to happen, howeve, even if it is used in a close combat attack.

What about this?
1. Can Jean Grey use her teke to move an adjacent object to go "under" a friendly Logan piece so as to activate his stealth benefit?
2. Likewise, can you just teke an object to a different square without destroying it?
Thanks!

In the objects section of either rulebook, there is a segment devoted to TK. Oddly enough, this appears in the DC rulebook despite the power's disappearance from the DC PAC. The first part of the TK section is how to move an object without using it in an attack. Just as with an object, you have a range of 10 squares within which you may move the object, and then it must end up in a square of clear terrain. The answer to your first question is thus---the object may only be placed in clear terrain, defined as open space with no obstructions. So you cannot place it under Wolverine to Stealthify him, but if you can see the square in front of him then direct the object there.
