*the "escape the dome" match (yeah I know thats not the correct name)
*The Women's tag Title match.
* Heavyweight title match
Low points:
* Jeff Hardy showed up
* Nasty Boys showed up
*Val Venis................
* was that really Orlando Jordan?
So post comments! I got to go to work.

I could nit pick at every flaw the show had but all around I was entertained. The return of the Monday night wars is just what WWE needs to get their lackluster storylines back on track.
I enjoyed seeing Hall again and hope he gets back in the gym.
I never gave TNA the time of day before but I was impressed with AJ Styles. If he's half as good on the mic as he is in the ring we may have the next superstar here.
The TNA brass should leave the Nasty Boys at home. They're not gonna help TNA move forward at all.
The good times are ahead. My DVR is gonna be real busy on Mondays.
It's funny - a couple of weeks ago I was saying to my wife that without serious competition WWE's writers had gotten too lax.
The return of the Monday Night Wars...now that could fix some things :grin:

Well...Not so much.:disappointed:
Apparently, I looked at next monday (on my DVR schedule) and we are back to Thursdays. It was just a 1 time shot.

His mic skills are OK. He's from Georgia so he sounds trailer park (MY OPINION, no offense to anyone from the south). AJ is called the phenominal one for a reason.

Anyone that can beat Kurt Angle is nothing to scoff at! He has been wrestling for almost 12 years. Any who have been a ROH Champion can whoop anyone the WWE has EVER had. That is a factual statement. Look it up!

If you like AJ, you'll also like the Motor-Cit Machineguns and Desmond Wolf/Nigel Mc Guinness.;)

I think Eric Bischoff and Bubba the Love Sponge are a low point.

Bubba the Love Sponge- agreed Wholehartedly!
Eric Bischoff- IMO, Bischoff is an A-Wipe for sure, but he's a creative Genius that has come up with some great concepts ( "Raw Roulette" and the Elimination Chamber) in the past. So we'll have to see.....

His creative genius helped kill WCW along with Hogan. Now the formula for failure seems to be repeating itself. Seriously retreading the Outsiders? That ship not only has sailed, it's sunk. Hall and Nash look about as healthy as Mae Young.
IF Bischoff is there as the "Eric Bischoff" character and not actually running things, I think that could be a good thing. He plays the smarmy, arrogant evil GM role better than anyone.
I've enjoyed a lot of the matches so far in the new year.
Im enjoying The Pope, MCMG, Desmond Wolfe, AJ, The British Invasion, Hernandez, pretty much the entire X-Division. Im excited for the new direction, as long as in the end all the old crappy guys like The Band and The Nasty Boys don't end up going over.

Watching TNA at this point is like watching the collapse of WCW, just in fast forward. It's been barely a month since the January 4th show and watching Hogan and Bischoff eviscerate everything remotely unique and original about TNA to turn it into a watered down WWE would be heartbreaking if TNA hadn't been already rendered unwatchable by Russo.
Obviously, hiring Bubba, The Nasty Boys, Orlando Jordan and an outdated Val Venis then pushing them over more talented individuals is a mistake in itself, but hiring guys who might be going to jail in in the near future, cage matches ending in disqualifications, throwing out visual things that make the company stand out, yet another retread of the Montreal Screwjob, The NWO-lite and changing more than one PPV match on the day of the show... it's horrendous.
Then there's turning AJ Styles into Nature Boy 3.0, which at first glance sounds like a solid concept, but after hearing Lance Storm lay out why it's an awful idea, it's tough to dispute it.
It's getting so bad that even TNA's live audience is turning on the company, given the already bad booking and that awful video circulating of the production telling the audience they have to respond the way the company wants them to respond.

Yeah, it's starting to look like a trainwreck.

TNA had potential to become a new force, instead they had decided to follow the "leader", they have enough talent to blaze a new trail not copy or rehash some old ideas.
I like watching some of the older wrestlers perform but not to the detriment of the original TNA guys (and girls).

Why even start this thread TNA is to Pro Wrestling what the Washington Nationals are to baseball. Jeff Jarrett and his collection WWE roid rage washouts are really pathetic when flip I through the "clicker" I'll occasionally see them wrestle and it's like watching old people fight to get in line at an Old Country Buffet.

Because, just like WCW, there are a lot of highly talented folks who aren't the washouts who can wrestle and who can put on an entertaining show.

Your right and when it's time renew a contract those same talented wrestlers say "hey this company stinks" and move to the WWE for a reason.

S with any Televised Wrestling promotion run by folks who have "caused more than one company to nosedive" we gotta take the good with the bad. Here's my take:
THE BAD:
1) Getting rid of the 6 sided ring- this was TNA's signature. It made them unique in the US (can't say North America cuz' AAA has one). I think that this is the one thing I've hated the most.
2) The Outsiders- Lets just let this one die please.....
3) Nasty Boys, Bubba the Love-Sponge and Orlando Jordan- Nasty Boys: Really? Whta are they 280lbs EACH? Come on!!!! Bubba- Why do we need this looser anyway? Orlando- Apparently in the Years since he was let go from WWE he has gained some NEEDED talent. A Dragon-Screw leg whip on the Poe as he was comingthroughthe ropes? Nice!
4) Bischoff- said my piece on this man allready.
5) 'Following the Leader'- The Montreal screwjob (stupid) storyline was just to discredit/make-light-of the current Raw storyline. But yeah, get some new material guys.:tired:
THE GOOD:
1) Generation Me- nothing but a bright future here.
2) Desmond Wolf/Nigel- I really like the European style of wrestling. I enjoy the clinic this guy puts on everytime he's in the ring.
3) Brian Kendrick/Spanky- this Jerk has tremendous potential! Lets see it for once!
4) X-division- Lets keep this in the forefront and let it shine like it always does!
5) Tournaments- I LOVE Wrestling Tournaments!!!! Keep 'em comming!

Well... not necessarily. Jericho, Big Show, Eddie, Rey, Booker and He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named all managed to make their way to the top. Sure, there are those who didn't make it, but that's just the way of the business. It'll be like that for any group of individuals coming in from another company, be it TNA or RoH.
OJ went and wrestled out in Europe, and learned how to be less terrible. Still not charismatic really, but not awful.
I'm excited for TNA though. I like the rankings idea a lot. It makes it so that every match could have meaning.
Not to mention a lot of my favorite guys are the ones that they are high on.
And a Wolfe/Pope feud? That is a liscense to print money right there.

I was surprised they had Samoa Joe job to Wolfe in order to sell that feud.
