I'm playing a game, and it's an indoors map. My opponent uses a barrier. I use Superman to charge past the barrier. He says that indoors, barriers count as blocking terrain and not hindering terrain. I say it's still just hidering terrain.

Which is right?

Outdoors, flyers and Leap/Climbers can go over a Barrier, however Indoors, the Barrier goes all the way to the ceiling. You either have to go around it or through it by causing at least 3 pts of damage to a single square of the Barrier.

And it's blocking terrain in both indoor and outdoor maps.

Pardon my ignorance on this one, but I have a question. I know a flyer can't move past an indoor Barrier because they need to be able to soar, which they can't do indoors. Why can't someone with Leaping/Climbing move past? I know logicaly that the Barrior is floor to ceiling, however, logic has little to do with Heroclix rules sometimes (A soaring characters base blocks lin of fire. Ok, sure). I also didn't see anything in the FAQ at Wizkids.

but for the same reason a character with L/C can't go through walls, indoors... There's nowhere to Leap or climb over. It's essentially a wall.

Happy gaming.

Barrier-This character can create up to 4 squares of blocking terrain.

And Paradox.. here is how it works..

On the outdoor map: Hovering characters can move over a barrier. They do not have to soar.

On the Indoor map: Think of the barrier as a thick black square. It's a solid wall for all practical purposes. The only way to get through it is to use phasing.

It's not in the FAQ, it's in the rulebook, in black and white:

"Hovering characters and characters with the Leap/Climb super power cannot move through indoor blocking terrain. However, characters with the Phasing super power can move through blocking terrain indoors."

Why can't Leap/Climb get you through? Because it says so in the rules.

Thanks all. I'm so used to looking at the FAQ whenever I have an oddball situation that I forgot all about looking in the rulebook :D
