Hi everyone. How on earth do you pop a base open? I can't do it for the life of me? Those suckers are just soo tough. I want to open one and shave the parts that hold it in place with an hobby knife. Any other suggestions on making the base turn easier?

Also what is your #1 best way to glue a clear flying thingy to the base? I need the best adhesive & technique you've found. Thanks.

I can help you with the first part at least. I have a letter opener that I use, but a table knife should work just fine. Save the hobby knife for the shaving down part.

Take the knife and slip it inside the edge of one of the long tabs on the base. Once you have the knife inside, pry it up, and the base should pop right off. NOW use the hobby knife and shave down the raised part of the Clix. It should move like a charm then.

Epoxy glue is much better than Super Glue. Sure, it may take longer to dry, but the wait is well worth it.

I'm pleased as punch with Zap-a-gap, which is basically crazy glue, but I find it tends to hold better and as long as it has time to cure (right temperature) it doesn't get frosted or foggy and stays clear as glass.

Pro weld super strong joints most hobby stores should have it. It goes on like water with a little brush aplicator dries in 10 seconds. Best stuff on the market dries clear not like crazy gule. one tiny drop is all it takes one bottle has done hundreds of warhammer minis & all three sets of flyers, and repairs.
