Since 2k posts na ang tournament announcements natin. I took the initiative to open a new one and followed Cons' style.

I will be presiding.

Call time 2:00pm-adjusted already (may gagawin ako sa gabi sorry bawal malate)

Series of ARMADAST 2.0!

What is an A.R.M.A.D.A.S.T. team you ask? Well it is a team that represents one each of the arch-types.

A = Archer/Admired/Animal (Celebrity OR anyone that uses a bow of any kind, or animal)
R = Ruffian (Brute, Warrior, Martial Artist Keyword)
M = Mystic/Mentalist (Mystical/Psychic Keyword)
A = Alien (not form Earth)
D = Detective/Doctor (someone with brainy skills - detective or scientist keyword)
A = Armor/Android (armor, android, robot keyword)
S = Spy/Soldier (Spy Soldier, Police keyword)
T = Time Traveler (Past or Future Keyword)


Example:

Event Rules and Restrictions:
Open Feats, BFCs (bring at least 3)
-600 points Unrestricted.

-No repeated characters allowed
-only 5 actions max per turn (except for leadership)
-1 Feat per character allowed (no 10% limit in place)
-3 objects per player, special objects allowed

If those are the only ones you consider for alien or animal, it's very restictive. In your previous ARMADAS format characters that were by definition alien could be in it.:ermm:

the last problem with the ARMADAS format was that it was easily abused. I'm trying to restrict the battle scene to help players utilize more not usually used figures.

However point taken. I will do additional research for the keywords and will update everyone via text.

It has come to my attention that players are finding it hard to form teams due to format restrictions or lack of figures.

Therefore here is what I propose:

You can borrow ANY figure that I have for the tournament. All I ask is for you to pm/text me at least 1 or 2 days in advance. All of my figures from the supermans, batmans, thor&lokis can be borrowed. This way it will also help you get a feel first of the figure before actually looking to add it to your collection.

I do hope that this would help our community in having a better gaming experience.

Actually you'll only need 5 figures to count as thematic for specific keywords, not 6. It's 1 for every 150 points if I remember correctly.

800/150= 5.33333, that's only 5 figs not 6.;) Even if you round that up it's still closer to 5 than 6.

1 figure for every 150 points to count as thematic diba? So even if you don't round it off 800/150 still gives you 5. Nothing about rule of three there. It's just basic math knyt. :) (Ayaw mo nun? It makes it a lot easier to build themed teams for bigger point games.)

This is correct. Generic themes = 1 fig per 100; non-generic = 1 fig per 150 and no rounding off (See FF rulebook). For example a 500pt non-generic theme team requires 4 members; if you only have 3 then it's not thematic. Ergo, an 800pt theme needs at least 6 (because 5x150=750).

Funding ang problem my friend...but if there is one of us who can actually compete there (except yung masungit na champion na si JV :laugh:) e si Mikey...Hes one of the best and narun na siya to begin with...so Mikey if youre reading this, pls do compete there and show them how a real philippine clix player plays like... So 300pt modern age format this saturday with dupes that are not unique allowed then. Rule of 3 pa rin of course.

I find it really ridiculous pag lahat ng team mo are made of the same figure like 15 Talias of the same expansion. But in this tourney I have a team that has 2x Alpha Talias din on it. 2x Jean and guess who the others are nlang. ;)

i have suggested the following format to cons, these format have already been used, why dont we used them again in a yearly basis, tutal yearly naman may new expansions, here goes: the B format.

1. Bakalan format (robot and armor keywords only), i think these originated from the strategic mind of ecchs and prof dawg.

2. Barilan format (all characters with or holding pistols, guns, anything that is related to guns) deadeye is not included

3. Bakbakan format (all characters holding a medieval weapon only), i have played this at glorietta, i know GenCon thor and stardust won c/o sir joel.

4. Bugbugan format (close combat only, no range allowed, no tk, no hss. pre-req: super strength, cce, charge), also played this at glorietta. i just forgot whon won.

5. Babe format (no need to explain), no gays please.

6. Babaero format (1 male character and the support cast should be all female)

Lets play again at galeria tommorow...last saturday, 11 players were present and a special 4 way tag team (composed of 8 players) fought it out for an le and a map. Antonn-Charles and Pete-Jb clearly had the upper hand as the other two tag teams were dishing it out in the early stages of the game. But hindi natuloy coz some of the players had to leave...thats why the battle report that day will be only be a 3man tag team. Thats the 2nd game and not the first.
