Forgive the ignorance: what's the difference from generic and named?
Just played my first tourney yesterday.....not quite familiar with the rules and complexities of the game.

No problem. Generic keywords are, well, "generic" meaning they are not specific to a license such as DC or Marvel. Brute, Scientist, Martial Artist, Mystical, Soldier, etc. are generic. You can see the full list in the heroclix rulebook.

Named Keywords are specific. Avengers, JLA, Metropolis, Gotham, X-men, etc. are named keywords.

The advantage of a named theme over a generic one is that the former needs fewer figures to be "themed" and gets more theme PC. They still only get +1 to the initiative per figure, though.

They're considered as their own set (besides, Brightest Day was an "action pack", not a starter.) Just like the Danger Room Starter doesn't fit in Armor Wars or Legion isn't a part of the JL set, as with the GL, 2099, BPRD, Giants, etc.

Wow!! The Hulk sealed tourney for me one of the best and most exciting sealed tourneys I played. And everyone were very happy with their pulls. Sad that some of the ATC main stay players weren't able to play because of valid reasons (Datu, Chris, Labrat etc. we missed you guys). And after the tourney everyone is happy because the battles were fair and square. (Unlike last week's tourney which was the total opposite.:disappointed:) And I'm glad the judges are back. It all depends who your primary hitter is
if you would like to go with the "alpha strike", go for the TK
otherwise, a long game, the "outwitter" would be more beneficial

Doesn't make sense for no Thematic (besides, in ATC theme teams are the norm rather than the exception). Easy to make a cheese team that way. We'll revise it this way:

Kailangan Hulk. Lahat ng Banner Hulks (including Joe Fixit, at GSX War Hulk), Red Hulks, She-Hulk, Hulk Robot, AIMarine Hulk, Red She-Hulk (WoS), Spider-Hulk, Hulked out heroes pwede.

ABomb, Abomination, Doc Samson, hindi (hindi sila tinatawag na Hulk eh) counted pero pwedeng kasama sila sa force.

Limitless rage specifically says it can't be countered or ignored. Pulse Wave ignores game effects... so since Limitless Rage can't be ignored, Pulse Wave will not "get around it". You can still use Pulse Wave, if you want, but it isn't a silver bullet to this power like it is to so many others.

Power Cosmic prevents powers from being countered. Pulse Wave ignores, as stated above. Since Pulse Wave has nothing to do with countering, Power Cosmic will not impact Pulse Wave in any meaningful way.

In other words, counter and ignore are two completely different things in Heroclix. So HOM Hulk's Limitless Rage ignores Pulse Wave.... Hmmm...

Matagal na yan issue kaso dinadaya ng mga players kahit naka-indicate na sa map na bawal yun. May kanya kanya kc ruling kaya di nasusunod ng maayos. Dapat ipatupad na MAP overrules other character effects.

I have no problem with that. Basta nagkaroon ng romantic relationship in any medium. Or kahit alternate universe (for example: Superman and Zatanna, Superman and Big Barda). Though kelangan romantic, hindi platonic. Si Lex Luthor at Tony Stark maraming naikama, pero si Lex was only romantically involved with Lois at one point and Matrix/Supergirl. Si Tony, other than Pepper, si Wasp, Black Widow, at Madame Masque lang ang naging talagang romantic (at least yung merong Heroclix version).

Here's the modified ruling:

1) Before objects are placed on the map, place four SPECIAL markers on the map so that they mark the outside corners of a 6-square by 6-square area containing as much clear terrain as possible as close to the center of the map as possible; this area is the Ring. Objects can't be placed in the Ring.

2) Each player chooses one friendly character and places it in an unoccupied corner inside the Ring; this character is his or her wrestler. A wrestler can't leave the Ring, and treats the edges of the Ring as if they are walls that can't be destroyed. When a player's wrestler is knocked out or eliminated, that player must choose a friendly character outside the Ring and place it in an unoccupied corner inside the Ring as his or her new wrestler. If a character is carrying an object when it becomes a wrestler, it drops the object in the nearest unoccupied square before being placed in the Ring.

FAIR FIGHT: If any character that isn't a wrestler is given an action that would affect a wrestler, affect any square inside the Ring, or place the character into or through any square of the Ring, deal the wrestler one (1) unavoidable damage after the action resolves.

POWER BROKER: A wrestler can use Exploit Weakness and Flurry if it does not already possess either or both of those powers. After the resolution of an action in which a wrestler uses a power from this effect, deal the wrestler 1 unavoidable damage.

DISQUALIFIED!: At the beginning of each player's turn, he or she rolls a d6 for each character in the Ring who is not a wrestler and has two or more action tokens. On a result of 1 to 3, the character is immediately knocked out.

INTERFERENCE: Ranged attacks can be made by any character outside the ring but as a double power action instead and ignores Willpower, Team Abilities, Additional Team Abilities and Traits.

Regarding your concern, That's why the part
"So make sure to use pieces that you can afford to loose"

This is to avoid people to keep using "highly powered" figs unless they would risk loosing them. This would encourage the usage of less popular ones and be more creative rather than relying on just the figure themselves. (I know there are some overpowered figures out there, Phoenix is one that I use most often)

But of course, we honor and respect each other's decision not to join and this remains as of now as a suggestion.

For those willing thou, we could try it out for the spirit of fun and the love of the game!

- 300 points must be from Superman and/or Hulk (bale, 50% floor Superman and/or Hulk set figs, objects, ATAs)
