Question about Rarity Values

Where do the rarity values on this site's warriors section come from?

I was wondering if there was a way of finding out what the rarity values were based on some things... or are they just formulated from tests or something?

Please enlighten me as to where these values come from.

What happened to those sachau sp? lists?

I can't find the site now. I think it was just sachau.net, but it doesn't work anymore.
