If I'm not mistaken, I can choose perplex, gain it from oracle, and have it naturally and use it 3 times per turn with Nico. That makes a very nasty combo for Dr. Strange, combined with his own perplex and Robin's. There is a lot of damage potential with this team. It's not terribly great, but would be interesting to play.

What do you think?

Well, from what I understand, if you give Nico Oracle's Perplex and she chooses Perplex on a click that she has Perplex then she can use Perplex once.

It would just take 3 Outwits to get rid of it.

Perhaps use BA Oracle instead, giving you Mind Control and Energy Shield/Deflection, costs a few more points though.

Also, Would the Stunning Blow work better on Robin?

i think when shes on her perplex click, she can use perplex via "staff of one" and then her normal perplex.

im not sure if ICWO's perplex is separate from her own perplex, ive never thought of that before...

The ICWO may be different, I thought he was referring to using the Perplex power from Oracle being on the card.

I'm not convinced that having it multiple times over on the same character allows for multiple use of it though, how many times can you do something "Once during your turn"?

Looks like I need to do a JackAssterson on this one:
Leader is on click 2 and got Outwit from Oracle on the last turn.

At the beginning of the turn, he uses the OW from Oracle to counter somebody's Invulnerability. A Poisoner then damages that figure, dropping it to Toughness. (1 use)

Next he Outwits the Toughness (via his SP) before a second Poisoner gets the guy. (2 uses)

He now takes a power action to gain Perplex from Oracle.

Later on he copies Superman Enemy and uses that Outwit. (3 uses)

Now a teammate uses Pulse Wave and catches Leader with it. He drops to click three and picks up a natural Outwit. (Note that the SE OW from use 3 would now end.) He can now use that natural Outwit. (4 uses)

For Oracle purposes, would it matter that Nico's Perplex is just straight up regular Perplex as opposed to the Leader's Outwit where it's a special power?

Because I seem to remember back when Oracle first came out they ruled that if you already had Outwit/Perplex and then took Oracle's Outwit/Perplex, you still only got to use it once.

Okay, I'm pretty sure I can go ahead and use the 3 perplexes. If I'm wrong, I can still give my characters outwit instead. Stunning blow is not better suited for Robin as he only has a base of 2 damage. The idea for Stunning Blow on Strange is that I can slow down their bricks while still cracking that Impervious or Invuln. Also, Robin I don't believe meets the prereqs for Stunning blow as his incap is merely an attack as a result of his smoke cloud.

For 3 Perplexes I assume you mean:

1. Standard Perplex on her dial
2. Perplex from Oracle
3. Perplex from Staff of One

I'm fairly certain that if you have standard Perplex actually showing on the dial and you borrow the Oracle's Perplex, you still only get to use it once. Otherwise, a figure like Legacy Batman could have taken the Oracle's Outwit and along with his own standard Outwit been able to Outwit twice... and that's never been the case. Now Staff of One is a different power so you could use either Nico's standard Perplex OR the Oracle's Perplex AND her Staff of One Perplex but not all 3 of them.

So then I'll just make Strange the perplexer from Oracle and I'll get the same effect.

....And if that doesn't work, then I'll just use outwit. lol.

Oh yeah, I guess I was thinking that Robin had Incapacitate, my bad. Still, Stunning Blow on a figure that only can use it on one click?, that seems a little silly.

Actually it's just the team itself that is silly......:cheeky:...Geez really 3 perplexes without a single move and attack peice.....

Not every team needs a move and attack piece. I seem to remember a team of Green Flame x3, Nick Fury and I want to say Mystique do some damage and win the WWTX. Also, I have played a team similar to this that did it's job quite well in 3 separate tournaments and won all 3. It will do well, If played right and on the right maps. I'm not saying this team is the end-all be-all, but I think it should be fairly competitive.

Oh, and don't underestimate Nico. Strange's perplex, plus Robin's perplex, plus ICWO, plus Nico's ability to choose any power(i.e. Charge, RS, HSS) can be nasty.
