Greetings all!

I am currently in the process of making a modern Justice Society, and I am turning to my fellow modders and maniacs for suggestions.

The ones I'm haveing problems with are:

1. Dr Midnight. A doctor who can see in the dark, carries black out bombs and is very smart.

Are there any characters on the Batman team who come close to this?

2. Sand. Able to turn himself into sand and carries a knockout gas gun.

Suggestions for figure on this one? I don't mind conversions - within limits - but i'm stuck for a starting base figure.

3. Starman and Star Spangled Kid.

I'm doing a custom figure for Starman, with elements of Blade and some old warhammer figures, but the stats elude me. Secondly, any suggestions for the star spangled kid. Tough, quick and throws off tiny stars that incapacitate.

4. Atom Smasher. Grows big and hits big. Tough but not invulnerable.

Converted Bane by adding a black panther head, but again stats are bugging me. Hulk would be good but far too powerful to the end of his click. I need a character that has a flow of superstrength, toughness and reasonable damage that then ebbs as he shrinks.

5.Finally Black Canary. Sonic shriek, expert hand to hand.

A bit of ranged damage, incapacitate or energy explosion, with some decent hand to hand to back her up. She's a converted black widow figure ( her base has gone to a black cat converted modern spider woman ).

Please.....save me fromt his madness!:D

For Sand...I would use a converted sandman

For Dr. midnight the experienced Black panter dial works.
For sand you need somoen with phasing, unless you want him before he figured out how to do that.
For Starman you need a flying base with maybe one or two clicks of ranged combat expert and incapaacitate. So put a flying base on a Fred Myers Le figure or go with a weather wizard as he is the closest.
For the Star spangled kid I'm assuming this is before Starman left the team, Mr. Hyde is close, Or she-hulk depending on how pumped up you want her.
For Atom Smasher, Juggernaught, without question
For Black Canary the LE Tomas Oscar Marro is good. If you want her before she got her Canary Cry back Unique Catwoman fit pretty good. I know the range in point cost for the dials is great but it's the best that I could do.

for the modern Doctor midnight I would go with Robin or Nightwing. they have the good fighting and smoke bomb. If it's the new Midnight I would go nightwing for the outwit.

Well, it's Bat enemy, but ....

How about Exp Catwoman?

L/C, Incap, Supersenses, 2 damage with outwit.
0 range, 59 pts.

Does Midnight normally have a decent ranged attack? If not, then Catwoman would be cool.

If so, then probably V Robin.

I used a Skrull Commando with a transplanted head for Doc Mid-Nite. Those Skrull Commandos are great basic starting fis for mods, just chop off the heads (or any desired body parts)! I also used one for my Atom Smasher (check out my sig for a link to pics). For Black Canary and Stars, I would suggest Con Artists, Invisible Girl (R), Boom-Boom, and parts of Paramedics. I find that top-halves of Wasp are pretty good. I am using an extra Black Cat for my GA Black Canary.

As for Modern Starman stats,; when I make stats, I write up a quick bio and work off that: Starman (Jack Knight) is just a guy with above-average close-combat training and above-average intelligence. He uses his Cosmic Staff to summon forth energy from the cosmos to fire beams, fly, and create force fields. Vet should have Willpower since, as he gained experience, the Staff reponded directly to his thoughts.

Hope this helps (and my technique is by no means gospel, you wil find it tough to include everything a character is capable of and keep a balanced character).
