Checkmate is evil?!?

Someone wrote recently that Checkmate is actually a "good" organization.....is that true? I thought (or assumed I guess) that they were badguys!

Am I going to have to get rid of my checkmate guys? <DAMMIT!>

Checkmate started as good guys and have become morally ambiguous as time has passed.

But essentially, they are supposed to be good guys.

Heheh didnt believe me ? they are kind of like shield now they work with the government to "protect" the country so they can be villianous foils in one mag and heroic protecters in another but they are basicly good.
