Just curious if you guys have any suggestions or creative ideas on storing your collections. I take my characters ot friends houses to play pretty often, so I'm trying to think of something I can carry around with me.

Either an art supplies case or tackle box are perfect. The ones with lots of little compartments.
Walmart has in their Hardware section, plastic containers w/hinged lids and adjustable shelves that are perfect for holding the figures. They are meant for nails and screws. They are about 4.00 a piece in Canada so they would probably be less in the states.
walmart also has a tackle box carring case to hold the tackle boxes . and there is the hot wheels carring case to just like the tackle cases but 2 sided

I use enough of the Plano clear tackleboxes that I should own part of the company by now. Each box can be divided into 24 sections and I've gotten every figure to fit in one of those sections. Plus with 24 Clix per box, it works out pretty well with the number of figures per set (7 for IC, 6 for HT, and 4 for CT and XP). If you have any extra slots, you can put your dice, tokens, objects, etc... into them.
They make soft-sided bags that are designed to hold these cases (either in the sporting goods or hardware sections), but to be honest, any decent duffle or gym bag can do that job, so you can shop around for that.

I'm a huge fan of Plano Tackle systems (model 1258). I got it on basspro.com for under 20 bucks with shipping. It holds all my pieces with the Sentinel, Sinestro plus all maps and objects. I'm just now starting to run out of room with a full set of Infinity & Clobberin' along with a whole buch (over half) of Hypertime. I highly recommend it for traveling with larger collections. You go JoeG!

i use my own product. the skirmishpack. we now have 32 slot foam traysthat hold heroclix quite well. 4 trays 2 stacks= 256 figs, though I like to separate flight bases & the figs. anyways we'll be updatingthe dite with the new foam soon.

I am a big fan of the 24 slot tackle box as well. A 24 slot box works perfectly for the expansion sets as 96 pieces fit in exactly four boxes. I needed 6 boxes plus a small box for the IC set.
I have been using the Shimano brand boxes sold at Wal Mart. They also sell a Shimano carrying case that fits six boxes perfectly and has a shoulder strap. Good for taking sets on the road.
All of this is findable in the fishing section of the store.
