A force of characters is on its way to accomplish some deed, when suddenly they are confronted by an opposing force! They have no argument with this force, but these characters are in the way and must be overcome.
At the beginning of the scenario, roll 2 six-sided dice. The player who rolls the highest result chooses whether to be the attacker or defender, and is also the first player.
The attacking force must go across the map and exit through the staring area on the opposite side. No other character may leave the map.
The game ends when all of the attacker's characters have left the map, are defeated, or when one side concedes.
During this game, you cannot push a character if it will result in the character being knocked out. Also you cannot have a character use a power (such as Mind Control or the X-Men team ability) in such a way that he will be knocked out from its use.
Victory
Calculate victory points per the standard rules. In addition, the attacker adds the point value of each figure that successfully moved off the map. The defender receives double the point value of any opposing character successfully defeated.
Note: The games are subject to the 50 minute tournament rule from the HeroClix Comprehensive Tournament Rules.

An ancient artifact has been discovered in a very unlikely place–the middle of town! Legend claims that this artifact offers untold power to the possessor. There are those who seek to wield such power–and those who believe the artifact must be destroyed for the good of humankind.
Place a Special marker in the center of the map. Any character can pick up the marker. The character who has the marker must drop it when he takes damage from an attack. Place the marker for the dropped artifact in any square adjacent to the character who dropped it (the opponent chooses the square). The character holding the artifact may only be assigned move or pass actions and cannot pick up another object. (This means it cannot be assigned free , combat, or power actions.) The character holding the artifact cannot be carried by another figure.
Victory
The force holding the artifact at the end of 10 Rounds is the winner.
Note: The games are subject to the 50 minute tournament rule from the HeroClix Comprehensive Tournament Rules.
House Rules:
Please be courteous to Game Matrix staff. Without them, our games would not be possible.
Please have your team(s) made before you show up. This will ensure that we start on time. You have one week between tournaments; this is adequate time to build a force. This includes your figures, feats, and BFC’s. If you show up and don’t have Feats and BFC’s chosen when the judge asks you to reveal your force you can’t use any during the tournament. No exceptions - this rule will be strictly enforced.
Game set-up is at 6:45 P.M. We will use this time to clear tables, set up maps, etc. Also, teams will be revealed to the judge at this time as well.
Games start at 7:00 P.M. sharp. If you are going to be late, please call ahead and let us know. If you are no more than 10 minutes away we can wait for you. This is on a case by case basis. If you are chronically late we will start without you regardless if you call or not.
Teams must be secretly revealed to the judge to double-check and record point totals. Your 3 BFCs must be revealed to the judge. From game to game, as you use your BFC’s, the judge will mark them off his list. Optional Force Build Forms will be supplied if you want to use them.
In most cases, we will play the standard three 50 minute games. In some situations, we may only play one game, such as big team battle free-for-all games, Colossal scenarios, or comic-accurate scenarios using multiple maps. In all games, prize support will be given normally, for winner and fellowship.
As stated above, in most cases, games will be timed at 50 minutes. Each game will have a 5 to 10 minute grace period, based on the complexity of the scenario, to set up before the timer begins to count down. No one can start actual play until this grace period has passed. This will ensure that all players get a fair and equal amount of game time. (This grace period includes the game set-up as explained in the Fantastic Four Rulebook: (1) Roll for first player. (2) Choose map. (3) Reveal Battlefield Conditions simultaneously. (4) Place objects. First player gets first object, places object. Second player picks an object, places object. Rinse and repeat. (5) Place characters.
Maps will be supplied. Please treat them as if they were your own. Let’s keep them in good shape. If you have your own maps and are willing to bring them that will help out with more map selection choices.
With exception to maps, you are expected to come prepared. Please bring all necessary equipment you need to play (dice, action tokens, line of fire device, object tokens, special and debris tokens, etc.) If you forget them, you will be at the mercy of others’ kindness to let you borrow them.
The prize for Fellowship will be a secret vote at the end of the three games. Votes will be entered into a ballot box. The votes will be tallied and fellowship awarded accordingly. You can not vote for yourself for fellowship. This falls into the same category as cheating. See the last rule on this page.
Anyone caught throwing a match so the other player is awarded the win will result in both players being disqualified from the tournament. This falls into the same category as cheating. See the last rule one this page.
Anyone caught cheating beyond a reasonable doubt or caught stealing will be automatically black-listed from ever participating in our HeroClix games. Play with honor and integrity, or pack your bags.
