Events with prizes - I put more thought into teams/strategy based. I don't really like using feats, but at times it seems necessary.

Games w/friends co-workers - more comic/theme oriented, I have the majority of clix, so I build about 10 teams and we pick from those.

Death Of Superman Art

I have to agree/disagree on the art. I liked Jackson Guice, Dan Jurgens & Tom Grummett, but am not a fan of Jon Bogdanove's style.

Spider-Man reboot

I liked Tobey McGuire as Spider-Man, but whatever. I don't think Nick Fury will appear in the Spider-Man movie, due to the reboot.

Next Marvel set was talked about in the first blog of the wizkids site http://wizkidsgames.com/blog/2009/11/26/introductions-updates-and-a-turkey/

With the wording of "Our 14th Marvel release will street in June 2010" my guess is a Spider-Man/'Street level' theme. With the possible 'streets' theme in mind, Billy Tan has recently stated he will be pencilling a series/storyarc that will focus on Marvel's street-level characters, sometime in 2010.

I don't know if it will happen in the first Spider-Man movie because of the reboot, but I could kind of see Nick Fury popping in sometime if it's possible with all the developing companies and such.

A long time ago in Ultimate Spider-Man, Samuel L. Jackson Fury comes in and tells Peter that he knows about him and that when he turns 18 he is pretty much government property. It makes Nick Fury look kind of like a jerk, so I guess it could add another dimension to the character.

I think it's a shame about the spider-man reboot. I thought the third one was ok. Besides I think it was the spider-man movies that really raised the bar for movies in that genre. Sure the x-men movie was out and it was decent but just didn't have the same flare the spider-man movie did. If you ask me batman begins and dark knight are thanks to the spider-man movies. Campy, cartoonish stuff just wouldn't cut it anymore.

I don't know about this. I kind of like the sound-effects. I listen to a lot of sports radio like the Jim Rome show, and this kind of reminded me of that kind of thing.

I really like the top 5 segments you guys do, and I was thinking that maybe you guys could have more special segments like on Around the Horn or Pardon the Interruption (I know Gudda watches these). An example of this might be something like "Who would you use?" and it would be a mailbag-esque segment where people could PM you two figures of comparable stats, point-cost, and purpose on the team. Then, you guys could run through them and each explain your takes on which one you would personally use in a team and why.

An example of this might be something like this:

Which one would you use: cr057 U The Flash at 123 pts or aa056 U The Flash at 120 pts?

This would also allow more involvement from the listeners without having to plan around doing entire shows with people, and you could just scroll through these during the show and look at the units section.

I don't know... Just a thought. I love what you guys do.

I kinda felt the same way about the sound bites. Though I didn't mind the laugh track so much. The children cheering was almost creepy. I'll give you credit for giving it a try though. :)

Hahaha...yeah it was a trial an error thing with the sound effects. I was even talking to gudda about it and was like "I think I over saturated it." The plan for this year was to divide the show into segments, but I haven't had the time to actually plan out what those segments will be yet. They have to be consistent from show to show. The problem is scheduling.

I'm in Illinois, he's in Maryland. I have a busy family, he has a busy family. We are definitely working towards something better, so bare with us as we work some bugs and kinks out of the show, while we are trying new things....and yes, sound effects are probably gone, except as segment introducers once we work that out.

I am pretty sure they said Nick will be one of them, so I think Avengers will have an Ultimates feel to it with Nick leading them. If I can find the link where I read this I'll post it, I do believe it was on Marvel.com though.

I heard they were trying to do a few more movies with other characters. Then they were going to combine them into an avengers movie. I heard they were even going to try the original line up of Iron Man, Thor, and Ant Man.

I wasn't real sure about an Ant Man movie at first. Though I've been buying my nephew those marvel adventures super hero comics. The ones that started out featuring
Spider-man, Iron Man, and Hulk with a breif appearance by Ant Man. Essentially staring marvels big three. I found a t-shirt with those three on it and thought I would wear it cause my nephew might think it was cool. Anyhow he saw it and the first thing he says is "there is no Ant Man on there". I was a bit surprised and figured you can't really tell what people will like.

And that story was probably way longer than it needed to be. Sorry about that.

Love what you guys do. Your podcasts have gotten much better and they flow nicely now. I like the segments idea. You don't need too many bells and whistles. My wife already makes fun of me for making a cd to listen to in the car and if she were to hear the sound effects, I would never hear the end of it. Love you guys though.
BTW, I made a list for you and Gudda for Secret Wars. The points are nearly 2000 for each side. I tried to use the fig that best represented the character at the time of Secret Wars circa 1984. Had to use some alt universe figs since they had better dials for the scenario. You could swap the sculpts.
