OWAW Superman VS. Thanos

Hello everyone. Once again we hear the battle cry of war in the distance and this time, we're gonna pit the Big dogs of Marvel and DC at eachother!! OWAW Superman VS Thanos. Im sure you guys have a TON of coments on whos gonna take this round 3 title. Whos it gonna be? Post your thoughts here and let us know is Supe gonna lay the smack down? Or is this large purple people eater gonna drop Kal-el like a bad habit. Heres some info on the match:

It will be ONLY Superman and Thanos
3D Objects will be in play.
The battle takes place Sat. Feb. 22nd

I own both, and as bad as Thanos can be he's not OWAW Superman. I've never seen Thanos take him down without help from some outwitters, perplexers or prob. manipulators. I will put my vote for OWAW Supes winning every match. Sorry Thanos, but without your Gauntlet, you can't win against him one on one in Hero Clix.

Superman wins everyone without taking a click. Run up with ypersonic, shoot him, run back. Wash rinse repaet, Thanos might have the stats advantage, but Supes will beat him 1 click at a time. Its just a war of atrition.

I've done this match for the heck of it several times, and beleave it or not Thanos has a good chance if he is played correctly and gets good roles. He just has to get Supes in a position where he can't get more than 10 away in one turn and push to attack. his stats only go up and if he can get supes past his hypersonic speed the battle quicly turns to his favor. All this having been said I still take Supes in two out of three.

Thats one of the problems thought just like with the worlds biggest tourny thread if your only playing the match out yourself do you really know for sure if it the odds werent in the favor of one of the figures?

Outdoors you need to contend soaring and buildings constantly and indoors you have to deal with constantly impassable [without taking an acrtion] blocking terreign.Not having to roll to breakaway either helps prevent being backed into a corner as well.The real question is how long the battle takes since Sups does 1 damage without reprisels for a long time has some pretty stiff defense to face and then when he gets Thanos to his last click the regeneration could make the match even longer.Play your distance game right and Thanos goes off his best clicks before he can be in position to take shots pushing at you hope you dont roll snake-eyes throughout all those rolls and then hope the Regeneration only keeps him around for a round or 2

I vote that were officially rename OWAW Sups into the much more fitting "Pre-Crisis Superman"

OWAW Supes will beat out Thanos. I like Thanos better but it's not gonna happen with Supe's hypersonic speed and his impervious. But with good dice rolls for Thanos and bad dice rolls for Supes, Thanos could pull out of this one victorious( not likely though)

Unless Thanos has some special Kryptonite dice he gave to Supes before the match.......

Heck, pick up the dumpster and hit and run with his heat vision for a couple of clicks (only one clix per attack w/Thanos' invulnerable) and then let him have it with the dumpster a few times....game....set...match.

If Supes didn't KO Thanos everytime I'd be suprised. But then again I've had a V Wolverine KO'd by a R Thug. *sigh*

I'm voting for Thanos just because he is DEFINITELY the underdog. OWAW Superman is a stud and he should win easily, but then again he DOES out point Thanos 236 to 185. That's a 51 point difference. It would be like Thanos fighting a Rookie Kang, 185 to 133.

my pal Kal all the way my friends. Thanos might I repeat might give supes a little bit of a battle if the closed in b2b however Supes is too smart for that. It'd be like Foreman vs. Ali Kal EL's going stick and move, untill Thanos' is on the ropes and than clock thanos with the dumpster for the tko.

It's defonately gonna be OWAW superman. I mean also take into consideration he's got Impervious that works the same as invunerability and supersenses combined. With some bad rolling for superman though, he could get a little messed up. Thanos still stands little chance, because of superman's Hypersonic speed so i think everyone knows the last som of krypton will be the victor.

I'd go with Sups on this battle. However, has anyone done a Darkseid Vs OWAW Sups? I just did a couple of one on one battles for fun (yes it's hard not to take sides) and Darkseid won every time. It's really hard to get passed that psychic blast and outwit.

How?You can stay out of his outwit and Psychic blast range easily and slowly pound him him down to nothing.Barring 3 seperate critical misses you really cant lose

A lot of people don't realize that you can do a ranged or close combat attack using hypersonic speed.

Lots of people only think it's a close combat attack. That's why OWAW Supes will beat any other character one on one because he can fly into range, shoot, then fly back away.

On an ironic note i made a 500 point army consisting of OWAW Superman, Thanos, V Black panther and two R Hydra Medics, the only reason i didnt get first cause one of the guys there took so long that i couldnt kill anything of his, he took 9-10 minutes for one turn, i wanted to strangle him.

owaw superman would definatly win because he has the hypersonic ability he can be costanly shooting at a range of 8 then get out of the way. thanos does not have any sort of movement slach attack.

Hello Everyone!! Sorry it took so long to get this up, work has been overloading me as of late. OK on with the results:

OWAW Superman VS Thanos...

Most people went with Superman on this one, and they were right. Superman took it to the Purple people eater 4-5 (We played the extra one for the he11 of it haha) and the only reason thanos won teh 1 game, cause he got REALLY good rolls.

So the Krypton powerhouse won this edition of VS but I wonder if he'll win his next battle? It gonna be a good one I asure you guys, look for it real soon!!
