sorry bro i didnt even notice your original post date and i sorta like his show:)
While searching the web I discovered a color pic of Hal Jordan LE from inquest #97. At least it looked like Hal Jordan, though he was made of clear Green Lucite. I may be wrong but thats waht I saw.
The LE is John Stewart, JonL says so.
As to whether there will be a "glowing" Hal Jordan, who knows ?
There will probably be Hal in a Construct, to fight Sinestro...
There had better be one of Hal as the one true Green Lantern in the DC expansion, though...

I still don't understand why Wizkids didn't make the Le Hal Jorden that is so stupid!

I'm hoping for a Hal ring construct too, it would be nice to have one of the large size figures be a good guy.
Qoute from Kraven "I still don't understand why Wizkids didn't make the Le Hal Jorden that is so stupid!"
JonL has said that it's John Stewart because he is the one in the TV cartoon.
It's that simple.
Go figure.

John might be on the cartoon but
1.Kyle is on the comic book
2.Hal Jordan is still the most popular
3.Guy Gardner is the coolest. If hes not in the new expansion then i wont buy some boosters!

Are you kidding? The Daily Show kicks ###!
OK there are two reasons the LE is John Stewart.
1. He's the one on tv so people who don't actually play clix may still be interested enough to order the figure.
2. Everyone agrees hal is number 1 correct? OK so how would you prefer Hal to be available. As a limited edition mail off that you have to buy a special magazine for that you can't even order unless you're in America or Canada? Or as part of the next expansion set so everyone as a chance of getting at least one, possibly more if they make him r/e/v.

Apparently not, as numerous threads attest.
Yup, true. The anti-Hal may also be in a Majority now, who knows ?
Of course, personaly I take the line that from an iconographic point of view, Hal Jordan IS Green Lantern.
Alan Scott, of course, can also claim to "be" Green Lantern. John Stewart and Guy Gardner are both green lanterns, and have both been the only one on earth at various points, but can't claim the title like Hal and Alan.
Kyle is too recent to realy have registered much, but I'm sure we will get HeroClix of him as well as the four mentioned above in Cosmic Justice.
Killowog is also a possibility, as is Jade.

Count me torn, my personal favorite is Hal but my kids like John. My two cents though, I wouldn't get too upset if Hal doesn't come in the next expansion. I think he's pretty much an DC "icon" category figure, that being the case, from a money making standpoint, it seems improbable that he will never be made. I really think the big question is not so much if, but when. WK likes to throw in a few "icon" figures per set, so will they toss him out now, or save him as bait for a future set?
The translucent figure was mistaken as Hal by many people here at the realms, so if Hal doesn't come, why not just use that as him until he does? Unlike other figures, the powers are going to be very similar between and compatable between the two - I mean they've got to be right?

Well, the best way to judge (at least as far as the boards are concerned) may be the "You Decide" thread, which (last time I checked) had Hal with about three times as many votes as Kyle.
I have no real preference. I've read and liked all the GLs at duffernent times. But the thing you have to remember is Wizkids intends this game for a younger crowd. (most of us here aren't but that is how the game was/is intended) with that in mind...
For many 10-13 year olds nither Hal, Guy or Kilowog have been a Green Lantern in there living memory. I THINK Kilowog had an appearence on the JL cartoon, but it was small. I honestly don't expect to see hall in this set. Posibly as Spector or Parrallax but dobtfull as a GL. Same goes for Guy Gardner. Kyle is recent in the Comics and John Stewart is on TV and in the comics. I expect we will mostly see them, with a Hal GL as a unique or LE at a later date.

I'm a veteran comic book fan. And I'm a huge fan of Green Lantern...well, that is, I'm a fan in that I really like the character concept, I own many of the issues throughout the years, and I'm fairly knowledgeable on the characters' history and incarnations. I am not a Hal Jordan purist, nor a Kyle Raynor apologist. I've seen great stories for both characters, and I've seen stories for each that sucked a big plate of a$$. Like everything in comics, it always comes down to who is writing the character. Denny O'Neal? Classic. Ron Marz? Eh, not so much so.
Okay, with that out of the way, here's what I have to say about Hal.
Let him go.
No, I don't care for the way DC chose to remove him from their current roster. I thought it was cheap and chintzy. Hal goes crazy? Yeah, right. The story didn't convince me. Not really.
But you know what's worse? DC's attempts to fix and mollify the fans of Hal. Parallax redeeming himself during Final Night? Twice as lame as Hal going nuts.
And the Spectre? Oh, god. What could be worse? These were bad ideas. Badly conceived, badly executed. And, as we've seen from DC, the death of a character in no way affects the writer's ability to tell more stories. See JLA Year One for a great example. The New Brave and Bold mini-series is another example. Hal's dead, Barry's dead, so what? These are retellings of old stories. And they are great, too.
But everytime they try to fix the "Hal Situation" they urinate all over the new stories and just stir up the fans even more...and all the fans want is to have them dial back continuity and say that it never happened. Which is not going to happen.
If I were a Rabid fan of Hal, this is how I would look at it: There are almost forty years' worth of Hal Jordan comic books out there, and the earliest ones have been reprinted in the Green Lantern archives, so they are relatively easy to get. If I want to read Hal stories, I will go backwards and pick up issues I have missed. I will do that until I have all of the Green Lantern issues available. Only THEN will I start to complain about a lack of Hal Jordan material for me to consume. Until I have every Hal Jordan appearance in comics, I'm not going to care about the modern Green Lantern and instead focus on my hero. That's if I were a Rabid fan of Hal.
I'm not, though. DC isn't, either. They have amply demonstrated that Green Lantern is a suit and a ring. They can drop any alter ego into it and voila! Green Lantern lives again. Fans of the "new" Green Lantern instantly develop, and a new fan-infight starts anew. I say we put down our various power rings and come together as a single, solid, green group! We want good stories, not lame ones! Pick a guy, stick with him, and make them good stories about that chosen guy! Don't insult our intelligence!
This is my message, my mission.
(mumbles Green Lantern oath from memory and walks off)

As a Hal fan, I actually agree - ron marz's butchering of a classic hero was bad enough, but easy to write off as an elseworlds story (which is essentially how I look at it). But the necrophilia that they engaged in with parallax and the Spectre drove me nuts too - and eventually drove me out of comics. I had lost the connection I used to have with continuity - rather than seeing them as the adventures of my favorite characters, I started to look at them as no more "real" than fanfic.
That being said, I do want to see him in clix form, very much, as he's still one of my all-time favorite characters. I really don't care about "continuity" characters at all - I'd rather just see the classic, iconic characters represented in some form or another, and Hal unquestionably falls in that category.

Since I've seen many people upset with this decision, I wanted to say that I do not read any current DC titles (though from time to time I'll cross over). But I do like the cartoon, and I'm happy that the LE is gonna be the guy I think of as Green Lantern.
I think the designers have an idea of what will draw more new heroclix consumers into the fold. Old school DC comic fans should mostly already be caught. Now they're going after a different market, no?
Bwahahaha ... (oh did I just laugh in my outloud voice again?) ;)

There has never only been 1 Green Lantern since the introduction of Hal Jordan. There has always been a Corps since that time. That's how Hal got his ring; it came from a previous Lantern. While Hal is a favorite, I also like John Stewart. He has been around for 30 years & is a strong character & is very different from Hal. That will ensure very different dials when we eventually see Hal. John's current popularity can be attributed to the new toon, but this piece is rooted in his comic background. The version of his costume as shown in the LE photo that was previously posted is the one used in the Mosaic storyline. He also brings more racial diversity to the line which is always a good sign.

Oh, I agree completely. I think a Hal clix would be cool. Field a classic JLA team? In a heartbeat!
No, what gets me are the constant back-and-forth arguments about who's the best. The only thing (in my mind) to concentrate on is the manner in which DC keeps kicking the corpse...

Ten years is too recent? I take it you haven't been reading Green Lantern or JLA since before that.

I'll agree that hal is the #1 gl & I liked final night & day of judgement, hal makes a good spectre (not as good as jim corrigan) but I hate that after "jla spectre soulwar" bruce & hal are all buddy buddy, that said my personal favourite gl is alan scott

"Ten years is too recent? I take it you haven't been reading Green Lantern or JLA since before that..."
Thank you for your concern. Although, admitadly, the eyes are starting to go a bit, I can and do still read the sundry Justice League / GL / DC in general titles - I probably read MORE Marvel, but I keep up with both. I have been an avid Comic Reader, Gamer, Games Designer, and Collector of both Figures, Games and Comics since 1964 - and Kyle is NEW. (stamps foot petulantly, falls over, catches Zimmer Frame... LoL)
I agree it's 10 years (well, slightly less) since Kyle picked up the ring. I agree, the character has his fan base, but I personaly don't think the character of Kyle has made much of an impact on the DC Universe or the comic buying public. Maybe, if he had replaced Hal in JL terms from the start, rather as Wally did Barry, but given that they did not go that route, then no. In terms of DC continuity (LoL) Kyle is still new. In particular, the visual of Kyle is IMHO weak compared to all the big 4, all of whom are more recognisable in general terms. If he was in the cartoon rather than John, I'm sure we'd be getting him instead.
Alan reps the Golden Age / JSA, Hal is THE classic GL Icon figure, the JLA GL bar none, (while Barry Allen's departure was very well done in all respects, IMHO Hal's was dross), Guy represents the NEW new JL, and is a very recognisable visual from those stories, and John has Patchwork and the TV show.
However, having said that, I'm sure we will get all of them.
As an aside, it's interesting that the two DC continuities that have been most seriously messed up by editors and writers alike, namely Green Lantern and Legion of Superheros, should both have good numbers of figures in the CJ expansion. Personally, I hope it's the 5 GL's listed, including Kyle, plus maybe Killowog and Jade, and then perhaps 8-10 of the classic Legion - Cosmic Boy, Elemant Lad, Lighning Lad, Light Lass, Brainiac 5, Bouncing Boy, Duo Damsel, and then Blok, Dawnstar, Wildfire, followed by Karate Kid and the REAL Princess Projectra / Sensor Girl !!!
We'll see.

I'd rather have Alan Scott? Why? Because then you could have a Sentinel (Marvel) vs. Sentinel (DC) fight. And then the rules FAQs would get really fun... "Sentinel can not capture a Sentinel, nor can a Sentinel capture Sentinel."
But i dont understand the argument, so what if John Stewart is in the cartoon? Alot of the clix on the DC line arent on the cartoon. Jay Garrick the GA Flash? I hope they do consider both older comic book fans and the kids. As the resident Guy Gardner fan id like to see him in the new set, be it as GL, Warrior or Sinestro ring user. Id also like to see Hal Jordan as GL, Hal=GL plain and simple, yeah he went cracy and stuff but for years he was the GL of choice. Id also like to see Alan Scott and possibly another Sinestro. And a Lobo cause i love Lobo.
It's cross-marketing. Players want the GL they know best, and the Justice League show's viewership outstrips the comic fanbases.

Green lantern league
I think that they should make a expansion of just green lantern. THe whole green lantern universal leage. And also the old green lantern should be a unigue like the old flash in Hypertime
Well, I was looking for the Wizkids forum post that had a pic of the new GL, but I have a feeling it's been earsed. Maybe a hoax? Anyway, from that pic it didn't look like anyone. It was a green translucient man on a flying base. Could be anyone. Besides, if ya don't want a John Stewart GL, then don't buy the fig. I'm just jazzed they're finally releasing a GL period. Who cares who it is, as long as they make the others as well. I'm personally looking forward to Alan, he was the first.

The translucent man is the John Stewart LE. It confirmed by Lussetter in that thread I believe.
