300 DC Army
I played this team in a tournament and placed 3rd:
Carter Hall---LE Hawkman
Batman---exp
Nightwing---vet
Madhatter---vet
Medic---vet
Medic---exp
Like I said I came in 3rd with this team. The first game I palyed I couldn't even make a roll for a break and I tried it five different times.

You do know that Batman and Nightwing automatically break away right?

Nightwing and Batman's Leap and Climb let them auto break away unless the opposing figure has plasicity.
I also thought that the flying figures have some ato break away advanges over grounded figures. you have a flexable team here maybe the ref doesn't know all the rules or you were fighting a bunch of Mr. Fantasics and Plastic men.

Leap/Climb does indeed let you always break away, though Starman's got a couple of things wrong. Plasticity doesn't affect L/C figures. Also, flying figures have to make the same break away roll that grounded figures do.
From the FAQ-
Breakaway
A break away roll is required only when physically moving a figure adjacent to an opposing figure into a different square.
Figures with Leap/Climb and Phasing do not have to roll for break away, they can always break away.
Failure to break away is considered a move action, and ends that unit's action.
Hovering figures do need to break away—they interact with nonflying characters as if they were on the ground.
Do not roll for breakaway unless you are actually attempting to move the figure.

hypersonic speed does not require breakway rolls also.
