If you have it, R or E Red Tornado so you can TK Ultron out for that 2nd turn Nova Blast. Still a robot and works for this.

yeah, i know. unofrtuantely, i had quit playing after legacy until supernova so i don't have much as far as that stuff goes(including Red Tornado).

number 1 for sure ultron already being indomidible makes warbound almost a mute point and he is high enough cost to where u almost have to waste points just to use it .and on the first team id replace the bi-beast and murcury with more phalanx and another m-11,but thats just me lol

Don't put Nova Blast on Ultron without having a TKer. He doesn't have running shot, so without TK it take two turns to get him to Nova Blast. Any smart opponent will make sure to run away, outwit pulse wave or knock ultron off of it.

Also, consider your team. Ultron is the only big power hitter. He's gonna take two damage from the Nova Blast and be weaker. You've got mastermind fodder, I suggest Ultron without Nova Blast all together. He seems much better as a straightup fighter.

Actually, indomitable prevents the damage from nova blast. It also prevents the damage from haymaker.

I, however, think you're going to get chewed up if you don't fortitude ultron.

I am fairly certain that Indomitable ignores the pushing damage from Nova Blast, as the feat specifies that it ignores Willpower and TAs.

having said that, i do agree with the assessment that it is very much a one trick pony with all of the eggs in the Ultron basket. i would like to see a better secondary attacker, preferably with some Running Shot.

Well, thanks for the posts, but the tourney was wednesday. i thought about fortitude and also running a r jean grey, but i decided before that day that i would never play ultron again after that day. 1st round i played against:

R Jean Grey
SR SUperman Prime
R Con Artist
E Avalanche

I played Poor Teamwork. basically, I waited for Superman to push(I made alias roll with Ultron and shape Change with Mercury), swarmed his superman prime. Nova Blasted him(along with jean grey Bi-Beast, Phalanx Soldier, and Mercury) then Bi-beast hit with a meteorite rolling a 6 on the meteorite roll. pretty much game over from there.

second round, as predicted, i lost to SI Iron Man on an Avengers team. will post more detailed later.
