Ravenstone Team Campaign

Opening Moves:
Players build a 400 point team Unrestricted team. This team can be themed, key-worded, or just a rag tag gang of heroes and/or villains. Build your ultimate team!!

Feats – any character with a feat assigned will be assigned that feat until they are “killed.” Single use feats (alias, protected, etc) can only be used once until a character has been KOd. After a KO that character can use that feat again. Any unusable feats are considered assigned to the carrier and count towards KO victory points as well. If a character has been killed and is brought back into play, new feats can be assigned to that character.

Home Base – after choosing your new super-hero team they will be assigned a home base! Home base will be the rallying point for your team, their headquarters and base of operation. Each Home Base will be chosen to match the team and any games played at your home base will be played on your home base map.

Home Base location will be randomly selected and added to the world map.

Battle for Territory
Each week a map will be kept indicating each teams turf, those locations that they control. Having a location in your turf will provide you with additional advantages when you battle other teams or threats to the world!!

The first round pairings of each tournament will be determined by battles over territory.

If 2 teams are located in adjacent locations, they will battle. If multiple teams are adjacent high and low dice roll teams will battle. Remaining teams will also battle. Game will be played on the map that represents the location of the player who goes second. Winner of the battle will take control of the location and the losing team will have to vacate the location to another location that they control. If they are unable to do so they return to their home base.

If 2 teams are located in locations that are adjacent to an uncontrolled location, they will battle. The battle will be played on the map that represents the contested location. Neither player receives the bonuses for the location being contested. The winning team will then move into the location and the losing team will remain in their current location.

Any remaining teams not able to be paired in this manner will randomly be paired and will play on the Space Map. Except during the first week…

Exception – If any team is adjacent to an opposing players Home Base they can call out an opponent and attack their home base. A team can always Boom Tube back to their Home Base to defend it if they choose to. If they choose not to their Home Base will be occupied by the opponent and they will not receive the bonus for controlling their home base.

Weekly Themes
Each week will involve a new theme which will allow for the things like teams teaming up to battle other teams, to battle threats to the whole world, to resurrect dead characters and to add characters to your team!

Characters who are KO’d or Killed.
A character is KO’d when, during any battle they show KO in their dial. In a single game a KO’d character is treated normally per Heroclix Rules.

Any character that is KO’d 4 times in the course of game action is considered to be killed. This carrier is no longer able to fielded in your force starting with the next game. Following any 3rd Round where a team has lost a character to this effect, they are able to take open auditions and replace this character with a character and or feats (no more than 20 percent of the replacement feats may be assigned to other characters that are living) to maintain your 400 point base team. If a character is killed that is not a part of your 400 point force while under your control you may no longer include that character as a member of your force for the scenario for the week or as a replacement for another character that has been killed.

Hey guys, if I'm able to I'm hoping to start playing more often again, hopefully on a weekly basis.

Charles, here's the idea I had for an event:

400pts Last Man Standing, Attack of the Sentinels
World's Finest count as 400pts for this event, just because they rarely see play and we can all agree that they're a bit over-costed.

We'll play on multiple maps, separate the map into 8x8 sections for purposes of deciding where the Sentinels will land. The Sentinel player, ie the judge, will play one Sentinel after each players' turn. The total number of Sentinels in play will be equal to the number of players that show plus one.

When each Sentinel lands or is given an action they must target the character with the highest point total that is within it's range. If a lower point character attacks a Sentinel then that Sentinel will deem that character to be an imminent threat and thus target that character first. In the event that multiple characters target the same Sentinel then the Sentinel will target the character with the highest point total that attacked it.

Here's the little change I was thinking of since the Sentinels in the comics are "Learning" machines that adapt. If a power is used against a Sentinel in a successful attack then the Sentinel rolls a D6, the following happens:

6) This Sentinel ignores that power for the rest of the game, no matter which character uses it.

4-5) This Sentinel ignores that power from that specific character for the rest of the game.

1-3) Nothing happens.

When a Sentinel is KO'd by a character then the Sentinel rolls a D6 for any power that character used during the action. The following happens:

6) The power is countered on all characters for the remainder of the game, excluding Sentinels

5) Any character that is within 6 squares of any Sentinel for the remainder of the game loses the given power until they are more than 6 squares away from any Sentinel.

4) ???

3) All Sentinels gain a +2 against the use of the given power.

2) All Sentinels may use Super Senses when the target of an attack that uses the given power.

1) Nothing happens.

I'd like to do this with 2D6 so that a 12 would result in the Sentinels actually gaining the use of the power, like in the Wolverine and the X-Men animated where the future Sentinels incorporate the mutants' powers.

We could start with the original Sentinels, then move onto adding the Sinestro & DoFP Sentinel. We could even use figures like both the Pheonix's, Anti-Monitors & Starro. Basically any large/colossal figure as more advanced Sentinels as the game progresses. They would just lose their TAs, SPs & multi-Attacks.

This is just a general idea and point total can change. We could try to play a highlander rule. Any change to the Sentinel bonus' that would improve play are fine.

The winner would be the player with the last figure standing, there could also be something for the player that KO'd the most Sentinels. We'd also be able to target other players as opponents.

And if the game is taking too long we could always drop Galactus as Master Mold and then have all Sentinels within his range gain a bonus to all stats.

Does this sound feasible to anyone?
