If Shadowcat is made in the X-men expansion, what powers do you think will best represent her as her main abilities?

Movement:

Phasing This one is obvious
Stealth A logical power for her, too bad she already has phasing.

Attack:
Incapicitate- represents her ability to tie up opponents of greater power through confusion and misdirection.

Defend powers:

Invulnerability Not that she actually reduces damage, but she is just that hard to hit.
Toughness ..same reason as invulnerability
Supersenses ..again, putting the effect over the name of the power. This, with a high defense will help represent her phasing.
Defend Shadowcat has been known to phase her teamates to keep them safe.
Energy Shield This just does not cut the mustard so to speak.

Damage Powers:
Outwit Kitty Pride is perhaps the most clever of all the X-men, nutorious for using her wit to trick more powerfull opponents into showing vulnerabilities.
Perplex I don't think this one is fitting, but it's worth mention at least.

Thats all I can think of. Which do you think makes most sense?

I'd give her Phasing, D'uh.
and outwit, as V maybe perplex as R/E.
outwit as to her phasing through computer parts/armor and so rendering them useless (at least for a time).
perplex for R/E because well you never knew where she would show up/could phase out another person of her team so they wouldn't get hit.

that's it just so she's cheap enough for the team.

Phasing all the clix
incapacitate
supersenses
outwit and/or perplex

and...isn't she' s flying?...

Phasing obviously. Supersenses to represent the fact that she has to see an attack coming and phase to avoid it. I'd go with incaacitate too, because she mostly just uses her powers to mess with peoples nerves and stun them. X team down the dial. Probably just 1 damage, vet may do 2 for a couple of clix. The unique will probably be revolution era Shadowcat and have b/c/f for when she was carrying around several of wolverines' bone claws.

The E/V versions should have quite high combat abilities - she is a ninja after all...

"....and...isn't she' s flying?..."

Well, she does not truly fly.

But flight lets you do 3 things in clix:

A: it lets you carry other people. Shadowcat always does this.
B: it lets you ignore terrain in regards to movement.
Shadowcat does this too.
C: it lets you soar..
Now, shadowcat never truly soars when she airwalks, but all soaring does is it makes you imposible to hit with close combat attacks, makes ranged attacks more difficult and lets you completly ignore figure bases and terrain. Which is what shadowcat does when she phases..

so, yes. I think she should fly :)

Movement:

Phasing This one is obvious

Yup. All the way down the dial.

Stealth A logical power for her, too bad she already has phasing.

I don't think so. While Kitty is known to sneak around, she tends to do that by hiding inside of walls rather than hiding in bushes. It doesn't translate into Stealth, IMO.

Attack:
Incapicitate- represents her ability to tie up opponents of greater power through confusion and misdirection.

Probably not. I've never seen her use a lot of confusion and misdirection (at least not successfully). I can see it representing her phasing an opponent though, forcing them to break free from her grasp before shooting, but that's a stretch.

Defend powers:

Invulnerability Not that she actually reduces damage, but she is just that hard to hit.
Toughness ..same reason as invulnerability

No to both. Being hard to hit translates better into having a high defense value rather than these two skills.

Supersenses ..again, putting the effect over the name of the power. This, with a high defense will help represent her phasing.

Possibly. Impervious might even work.

Defend Shadowcat has been known to [i]phase her teamates to keep them safe.

Absolutely.

Energy Shield This just does not cut the mustard so to speak.

Agreed. Just give her a high defense and be done with it.

Damage Powers:
Outwit Kitty Pride is perhaps the most clever of all the X-men, nutorious for using her wit to trick more powerfull opponents into showing vulnerabilities.

Eh... maybe. Kitty's smart, but there's a big difference between being smart and being able to outwit someone. I can't picture her being overly good at, say, finding ways to flush the Black Panther out of a bush or anything like that. Maybe one click of this, but it's a stretch.

Perplex I don't think this one is fitting, but it's worth mention at least.

Agreed. It doesn't fit.

And she should fly.

Seems for the best Kitty Pride to be like a little "Vision" ;)
Seems for her to be a great second choice for a multi-purpose teem mate.:)
Seems if she' s like this that I won' t play magneto anymore in my X-Team... :D

She should be weak and cheap. I am excited about getting more X-Men but dont want Shadowcat to be a bad@ss, cause she wasnt.

My $.02

Base Kitty:

Low movement, Flight base
Phasing
Super-senses
X-Men team affiliation

Optional:

Short range EB/RCE for Lockheed, perched on her shoulder.
Defend to phase others.

So long as the Rookie is a flier with Phasing only, making her a much cheaper phase taxi than Dr. Strange, I don't care what the later versions have (Super Senses is about all I can see fitting).

Phasing + Supersenses

perhaps perplex at the veteran level

That's it. All I want her for is to be a cheap X-men who can run around and boost the other X-men with clicks, and then run back to Jean for healing.

I dunno about flight...
