2010 Best Heroclix Team: 500 pts Arena Battles Input Please

Hi Everyone,

3 of us are planning on doing a round robin tournament to find the best team on Heroclix.

Basically, we are looking at building 500 pts teams, with feats maximum of 30 pts for every team that exists in the comics and the game. (JLA, JSA, FF4, Shield, etc)

Please post you most effective 500 pts teams, we will be using this thread to build all of the team and then fighting the round robin tournament and posting results, using a points system just like the Ulitmate Battle Royal Thread.

E Doctor Spectrum 77

U Power Princess 107 (or 109, I think my dial says 109? not sure now which is the correct one)

Not the most powerful representation, but the best you can do with them for 500 points. The E Hyperion is quite competent for near 200 points, though not as Super as V, Spectrum provides TK, Barrier and 10 range and Skymax can be a real nuisance. Plus you get keywords and a matching TA (Skymax's mid-dial 18 can really help the others with their 14s and 15s).

X-Factor:
V Havok 44
R Polaris 50
E Strong Guy 124
V Quicksilver 105
E Wolfsbane 32
V Madrox 44
E Multiple Man x3 32x3=96

Havok gives Leadership and high ranged damage output, Polaris is a TK and taxi (and might get a lucky 4 damage shot in too), Strong Guy is your main tank (and a mid-dial 'Defender'), Quicksilver a HSS harasser, Madrox an Outwitter and his dupes are MM fodder and Perplexers, Wolfsbane is an X-Men TA clix battery and may get in a lucky B/C/F hit. Keywords galore and all except the V Madrox have the TA to benefit.

The U Phoenix was denied the obvious keyword and the V Cap, even though with no TA, is much superior to the E for just 10 points more. V Wolfsbane works as a TA battery and a chance for a lucky B/C/F hit. The rest is pretty self-explanatory (Nightcrawler does the HSS, Phoenix range attacks for lots of damage and later TKs etc.). This is obviously from the early Ellis run, I omitted Colossus, since his cheaper versions suck and the 158 one is too expensive.

X-Force:
V Soldier X or LE Nathaniel Summers 106 or 100

Not exactly keywords appropriate, but with no feats these are the best fit.

Not much these guys can do except stumble around and try their luck with their 8 and 9 AVs, E and V Thunderball is the only one with any meaningful range, V Wrecker and LE Bulldozer don't have the TA, but with their short dials and low attacks it's a lottery anyway.

The Defenders:

18 Defense all around, Surfer rides around and shoots anything to bits (from 10 range), Namor charges in and beats anybody into pulp, Strange floats around and supports them. Oh, and mid-dial Surfer gets some Support and later Regeneration too. These 3 guys might just beat almost anything.

Hercules smashes in close, GR from range. Iceman supports (Incapacitate, Barrier, Carry, take a hit...), Goliath draws enemy fire (not much more he can do), Angel serves as taxi and X-Men clix battery for Iceman. Ditto Widow, who's the weakest link (the best she can do is Incap from 4 range from Stealth with 9 AV.... for 58 points), but at least the wild card TA can help a little.

The Avengers:

After much discussion we have decided to Allow Feats (45 pts max) and Pogs also, so If anyone wants to change their teams let me know.

We used the 10% -5 point rule for Feats. So 45 points instead of 50.

Just wanted to give an update:

We now have 5 players, because of the large amounts of teams. I figured we need to add some more players to this effort, so we can get in games quickly. We still haven't decided on a posting mechanism yet, Probably will be something like 2 games a week.

Well have to see.
