hey im up for the no more elektra and wolverine. i think people wouldnt mind havin more of one character if they didnt put them in the sets that come right after eachother, like if they skipped over one then did it i think people might like that better. i got a feelin we will see another spider-man though, just hopefully not in the exp. after X plosion.

WK already made a public anoouncement a while ago stating that they were going to have a vertion of Wolverine, Hulk, and Spiderman in every HC set. I don't know about Electra thogh, im getting pretty sick of her.

Thats the Marvel HC sets, forgot to mention that. I also belive they said that in every DC HC set there is going to be a Superman and a Batman.

Where did WizKids announce that? Sounds more like an urban legend.

I don't mind seeing new versions of spiderman and the like, as long as they are cool. So far they have been. The symbiote suit (if that's what it is) could have been better, and glaive elektra was uncool, funny, but uncool. Weapon X will be a dissapointment most likely.

And although I do not wisht to have all of the characters that thor mentioned, I do feel that absorbing man should've been thors ae, they already have titania.

I don't know if it was ever announced, but they did say during volunteer night at Dragon*Con that the current contract with Marvel stipulated that one of each of those characters would be in every expansion.

More Thor-Universe characters would be great! Executioner, Sif, Balder (not the fat version), Houngan, Fandral, Destroyer, etc. I like Elektra, but she doesn't need to be in every freaking set. Does she even have her own comic? What the heck is going on....

Apperantly she's realy popular. I think it has somthing to do with the fact she dosen't ware alot of clothing (of couse what super heroin does). I think she does have her ouwn tilte, i don't read it thogh and don't really know much about her.

While I would like to see Sif, Beta Ray Bill, and the Warriors 3, I doubt that will ever happen. BUT, stay tuned for Raised-from-the-Dead Elektra, Uzi-Packin Elektra, Elektra on Stilts, and Malibu Elektra.

I said it before and I'll say it again, WizKids would do well to have a couple of "Astonishing Tales of Strange Journeys into Suspense" expansions, representing Marvel's Silver Age titles Strange Tales, Tales to Astonish, Tales of Suspense and Journey into Mystery. These titles featured a slew of popular Marvel characters and formed the spinal column for Marvel Comics.

Bear with me, these are off the top of my head. =:^)

Thor: Absorbing Man, Grey Gargoyle, High Evolutionary, Loki, Sif, Balder, Warriors Three, Ulik, Executioner, Radioactive Man, Cobra, Wrecking Crew, Lava Men assclowns...

Heck maybe even a Howard the Duck-only expansion! Perhaps a Speedball-only expansion!!!! 96 different versions of SPEEDBALL!!! YEAH!

You've got a Thor. He's no more special than any other character. Honestly, I don't expect to see an end to the Elektras, et al. So what's the point in pis.sing and moaning about it all the bloody time?

Vegeta1, Teletran, Manchine, and I would disagree with that statement. If you read some of the threads around here, Thor gets his fair share of support. He is a wonderful character with powerful villians and allies, and a supporting cast of gods! People who don't read Thor don't appreciate the power he possessed before the Odinpower arrived. He was able to single-handedly take out any earthly villian and most teams. Add in some otherworldly villians to the mix, and it makes for great stories. IMO, I would rather read these kind of stories than Batman versus the nut-of-the-month. But that is just my opinion. As fans we want sets that include our favorites, but WK is smart enough to know that variety is the spice of life, and even sets named after certain groups will have plenty of variety.

For some scenirios you could always send thor up against some monsters from mage knight.

I definatly wanna see more from the darker and mystical side of marvel. Maybe a darkside expansion.

From what I understand every set is supposed to have a Spiderman, Logan (or Wolverine of some sort), and Elektra. Its already a done deal. Just like every DC set will have a Batman and a Superman. I hate to say I'm getting sick of seeing some characters over and over again. I'd rather see them put some new figs in.

As to the popularity of Elektra:

She was the first "Nimbo".

By that I mean female scantily clad martial arts expert, regardless of other powers, if any. The word is a concatenation of "ninja" and "bimbo".

In the old days, she was the only one. Then Betsy Braddock went through the Siege Perilous, and got transformed into Psylocke the Nimbo. Then there was a veritable explosion of Nimbos, such as the chick in WildC.A.T.S, and many others.

Fortunately, the Nimbo craze seems to be dying down, but unfortunately maybe the movie will cause the craze to start back up.

Yes it seems so. Elektra will supposedly be in Daerdevil 2 and she will be getting her own movie from what I've heard. I honestly didnt think Elektra was popular enuff to get her own movie but i guess I was wrong.
