Man of Steel 200
-Protected 8
-ICWO 10
AA 99 Batman 120
-ICWO 10
-Lunge 5
-Alias 3
BA Oracle 50
LEG E Batman 94

500 even. Try to get on the Rooftops map. Drop Oracle on her card and run an ESD on Man of Steel to go with his 18 Def. In Contact up his Def as well. Gives him a 21 from range. Batman does the outwitting and Supes does the smashing. E Batman is there for some prob.

What do you think?

I dunno, I think I'd want more cannon fodder on the team or else Superman's gonna take an early nap.

Maybe dip more into the Batman Alpha set and get some cheap tie-up figures, maybe a 30 point Robin and a couple GCPD instead of a second Batman.

Personally I'm kinda iffy on that Superman anyways though, sure he's got the Gotham City keyword (and his own TA, which seems rare on a Superman), but I can just see him eating Thor's hammer or Namor's fist on that opening click.

You know, it could just as easily be a JLA keyword team... All the figures have the keyword.
So with that in mind, how about dropping Legacy Batman (not fond of running multiples of the same figure anyway) and putting in Major Disaster and V Huntress for the same cost? Two figures are better than one, especially with Defend. :)

Also, the Rooftops map from the Coming of Galactus tournament is a horrible map for Lamppost Batman... It has no elevated terrain whatsoever (see for yourself... no red lines anywhere). You should probably pick another map instead - the outdoors maps from the Icons and Legion starters have a fair amount of elevated terrain IIRC.

I wasn't sure if Oracle had the JLA keyword because somebody in the comments portion of the units section said she doesn't have all of the keywrods listed and i don't have her card. if that is the case, you are right, that would be a very nice team. also, you are absolutely right about the rooftop map. i asked my buddy and he said it is all elevated( we usually play with his maps). thanks fo rthe heads up on that!

She used to have a bunch of extra keywords, but that has been fixed. Also, the card is availible as a PDF as well, so you can check for yourself. :)

I would drop the 120 point batman for either the vet legacy or batman and robin duo and replace exp legacy batman with either nightwing or edward nigma le. also lots of cheap alpha pieces would work well in this team for less points like catwoman (40 points), riddler(60 points) or vet spoiler for 22 points.

If I rework it into a Justice League of America Team, I could go with this(it'll probably get a lot of BOOS):

V Icons Supes 251
-Fortitude 25
-Protected 8
-Alias 3
JL Batman 75
R Red Tornado 42
CJ LE The Atom 50
Gypsy 44
Lian Harper x2

Eh, it depends I suppose.

I think an Avengers team could mow it down, but it depends on how many Impervious rolls go through. That Batman is nowhere near as scary as HA Cap, but a Thor vs Superman fight would be interesting.

Avengers are definately the team I am most afraid of. I'm prepping for a tourney in April, and it's kind of a big deal. I have a team that I like that I won't be posting, as a last resort, bbut you'll probably be seeing even more 500 pointers on here. They have to be non generic theme teams with at least 4 figures

April?, well at least you've got plenty of prep time. The main figures I'd worry about would be E-2 Superman and Thor & Loki, if you build a team that could possibly handle those two figures then I'd say you've got half the work done already.

The great thing about the Avengers and JLA is you've got a great selection of figures from high power to cheap effectiveness, I would seriously consider fielding something from either of those keywords.

Another thing to look at is there will probably be plenty of bricks with Fortitude, but not necessarily Repulsor Shield, perhaps a team with a Psychic Blast figure would do well.

I dunno, just tossing out ideas.

I agree wholeheartedly with what you are saying. I actually have an E-2 team that I am considering.

Justice Society

E-2 Supes 317
-Protected 8
E Wildcat 66
R Jade 64
U Batman (OR) 44

499

I can drop Wildcat down to the R version and replace batman, but I don't have many of the staple JSA figures like Doc Mid-Nite or Sandman becayse I didn't play between Legacy and Supernova and didn't buy much Origins.
