x-men 101

Does anyone know of a website that has an abridged history of the X-Men? I know the continuity is long and convoluted but I'm just looking for something that describes major plot points and story arcs. I've read X-Men off and on for years but I'm not very familiar with some of the major stories like the Dark Phoneix Saga.
Also, does anyone know if X-Men continuity has ever been "reset" like DC's Crisis or Zero Hour?

They have started "new" like the X-men #1 in 1991, after X-Men prime and after the Onslaughter stuff, but they have always kept the history place. If you havn't read the X-Men books in a while the team is now split into 3 teams, each with their own book. There is New X-Men, Prof. X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, White Queen and Beast. This team is based as the west chester school and has a tone of supporting characters (the students). Its less action oriented and more character driven. The is the "away team" which is in Uncanny X-men. That team is Nightcrawler, Angle, Wolverine, Husk, Stacy X, Iceman, North Star and Juggernaught. This team still has ties to the school and prof. X (who is the book quiet a bit) but is based out of serveral of Angles buildings and wear houses and the X-Jet. More action then in New X-Men. Last is Extreme X-Men. This team is Storm, Bishop, Rogue, Gambit, Thunderbird, Sage and Lifeguard. This team has cut all ties to Xaiver and the school and is out on its own. They are trying to find Dystinies diaries (12 books she wrote that tell the future of Mutant and Human kind).

Another really good X-Men book right now is Ultimate X-Men. This is a new continuity (the Ultimate universe). The team is very young (except for Wolverine) and right now is trying to prove to the world that mutants and Humans can live together (very much like the orginal X-Men books). The team is Prof X, Wolverine, Marvel Girl, Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Beast, ShadowCat and Iceman (and I think Nightcrawler is going to be added very soon). This is a totally new continuity, for example they did a story where Beast was in a relationship with a "super model and phd" over the internet. It was really the Blob ####ing with him, the Brotherhood then used Beast to find Magneto (whole Prof. X had hidden, with a lot of mental blocks to prevent him from using his power and remembering his past).
