Cheap Perplex- The Game Killer

As most people here already know, one of the figures that is rumored to be in X-Plosion is a generic who might have either Perplex or Outwit. Personally I think it's more likely to be Perplex, but that's not my point. While a cheap figure with Perplex would be very usefull, they could quickly become TOO usefull. Can you imagine what will happen if there's the equivilent of a Rookie Thug with Perplex added to the game?! I don't have one of the reverse engineered spreadsheets, but I'd be shocked if it came up to more than 15 points. They'll quickly become totally indispensable for any team over 300 points. Am I alone here?

It appears to me that Perplex and Outwit cost about the same number of points.

So, look at the Intergang Agents and Medics and compare them to Agents and Medics without Outwit (or in this case, the Anti-Superman team ability).

I'm confident that a Rookie Thug with a single click of Outwit or Perplex would not be much cheaper than, say, R Harley Quinn of R Black Panther. 17-22 points for the R and an extra 5-7 points for each level thereafter.

That's not unbalanced. Every strategy has a counter, anyway.

I think we are jumping the gun a little early. First of all, we don't know if there is a very cheap Perplex or Outwit unit in X-Plosion. Secondly, if there is, we don't know that they *start*with the power. Maybe they end with it, which isn't as useful.

Good point Ghost, I hadn't consided that possibility. Also, I realize that this rumored figure may not come to pass for this expansion, but that doesn't mean it won't happen some day. A thuglike Mime as one of the Joker's flunkies would make an excellent cheap Perplex figure theoretically.

I suppose the most comparable figure would be Rookie Intergang Medic. He's 20 points, only has 3 clix of life, and has Support as well as the potential to Outwit. Perplex is cheaper than Outwit, and Support wont' be there. I'd estimate the cost at 17 then.

As to Outwitting the Outwit, true you can do that. That's kinda the point though. You're having to waste your valuable Outwits outwitting the outwitters (say that 10 times fast) when you should be outwitting Superman!
