View Full Version : Could we please have a Sub-Forum dedicated to Team Builds?

Now I'm posting this for peoples views, opinions and hopefully a possible edit.

The reason I ask for this is because currently we have Team builds/requests spread ALL OVER General Stratergy/Tactics, Theme Team/Keyword Discussion, Combat Formations and afew other Sub-Forums. It's getting rather confusing.

This brings up many different problems, first of all its clogging up the different boards, second you have similar threads spread over different sub-forums making them hard to find for those wishing to search and thirdly it limits the responses the poster will get as fewer people will see them, meaning they get less help.

My proposal is to make a new sub-forum or edit the description of an old sub-forum to make it into some sort of "Team Build Discussion" forum, where players can post their team builds and ask for advice back, where people can build teams together and work on ideas.
That or we reinforce where to post them/move all the team build related threads into a single sub-forum, the Combat Formations sub-forum, as its description seems the closest to what we want ("Post teams & get advice from the HCR Community").

I'd like to hear peoples views, opinions and all feedback is welcome.
Thank you very much for reading~

Your friendly neighborhood, Top Hat wearing Cat. :3

That's probably the best solution. The "Combat Formation : Discuss & Review" sub-forum, as you said, is the dedicated place for this.
But mods don't see each and every thread started on the Realms.
However, if you report a thread posted in the wrong place (and better yet, indicate where it should be in your report comment), it's moved to the appropriate sub-forum rather quickly (that's how most of the rules questions appearing in General Discussion are moved to the Rules of Combat sub-forum, for example).
So, just report misplaced threads.

That is the Combat Formations board. Both the name and the board's description seem very clear to me, "Combat Formations: Discuss & Review. Post teams & get advice from the HCR Community."

I don't know how much more clear they could get. People also often post rules questions in the, "General Discussion" board quite often even though the, "Rules of Combat" board is the official place for that and it's quite clear that's the case. The problem is that people don't pay attention to what they're doing.

There is a lot of overlap between the different Strategy sub-forums.
When I move threads I generally try to pick the most suitable sub-forum to put it in, but quite honestly I usually do not bother to move a thread from one Strategy sub-forum to another unless asked.

Should I bother reporting them to be moved then? Or just put up with 5+ team build/requests on page 1 of General Strategy Discussion?

The main reason I ask is because... well, A. It's cluttering the forums, which is abit of a bother, but mainly its because B. since the team builds are spread over 3 (if not more) sub-forums then less people are going to view them, meaning you get less replies back, meaning you get less help.

That's my main concern is all, as the community is usually ever so helpful, but only afew people visit Theme Team/Keyword Discussions for example.

Absolutely. If you want them moved I'm happy to help.
It's just when I'm acting on my own initiative that I am not that particular...
