Is it Cardinal Richelieu? *fingers crossed for the Tim Curry version*
Is it Cardinal Richelieu? *fingers crossed for the Tim Curry version*
No.
And Charlton Heston is the only movie Richelieu worth mentioning. (Although Nigel De Brulier, who plays him in the 1921 silent movie, gets honorable mention.)

Also, regarding the good cardinal. From a pure acting/version standpoint, the Disney version with Charlie Sheen is clearly an inferior product. That being said, it's still a lot of fun, and Curry is wonderfully campy in his villainous role.
readyeddy?

Is the character female?
I asked if the character was male and received the answer "yes".
Comte de Rochefort?
Yes, it's Rocheforte. You got it with 9 questions to spare.
Poor Rochefort--in the novel he's an honorable enemy who becomes a good friend and ally to D'Artangan in the sequels, but he's always pure evil in the movie versions.
On the other hand, Christopher Lee in an eye-patch rates about a 12 on the cool-o-meter.
Count Dooku woulda beat D'Artangan, same with Dracula. Although D'Artangen & Aramis would give him a run for his money.
Hmmm, that would make a fun novel.
Christopher Lee has played:
Rocheforte
An evil Jedi
Saruman
Dracula
Frankenstein's Monster
The Mummy.
He may be the ultimate movie bad guy. A team-up of all the C. Lee villains could very easily take over the world.

He's also played hit-man Francisco Scaramanga, The Man With the Golden Gun. Also an awesome role.

I'd forgotten that one. His villains could definitely take over the world.

I believe it has been established that Christopher Lee is the center of the Kevin Bacon-verse.
As in, he is the best person in the world to use in a Six Degrees of Separation game.
Here's a NSFW version of Lee's biography:
