I'm thinking about using this team. 400 points, open/unrestricted.

V Moonstar + Protected 98
E Shadowcat 54
SR Storm + Protected + AP 118
LE Kurt Wagner + Protected
R Jean Grey 31

I'd be relying on semi-high defenses and Super-senses almost entirely. Would I stand a chance?

Honestly...no, I don't think so, sorry.

If I were gonna go X-men I'd try to up the attack & damage potential.

IC V Cyclops + Elite Sniper + Warbound (Twelve) =103
IC E Jean Grey + Warbound (Twelve) =44
SN E Shadowcat =54
MU Storm + Protected =108
UN E Wolverine =41
MU R Beast =50

You could use Jean to start launching Wolverine, Beast and Storm out for opening attacks (TK 1/turn with Warbound), then switch it later to have Cyclops start blasting every turn, keeping Shadowcat either close to Wolverine or Cyclops and Jean as the need may be.

That might work better, I'm not sure though.

a tactic i normally play when playing storm and kurt wagner/nightcrawler is to put inspiring comand on storm and have nightcrawler/ kurt wagner teleport like crazy either starting or finishing his movment next to her and taking no push damage

Yeah I may want to incorporate Warbound in there somewhere. For some I really want to use Moonstar. Maybe match her up with V Psylocke or AW R Psylocke via the Psychic keyword.
