I don't know about any of you, but with the release of Xplosion, I'm looking forward to having a full compliment of Freedom Force! At least the lineup when it began. (And most likely we won't see the others!)
Mystique
Destiny
Pyro
Avalanche
Blob
Spiral
Wee! Even if they in game won't be the most effective, I'll most likely be fielding them. Hopefully they come up to something that resemples an even points amount, heh. Would have been nice to get a unique version of them all in some extent. (Though Pyro didn't get an LE, so unlikely.)

if i remeber correctly rogue was a member at first as well so they could do another figure of here for that
You're not the only one awaiting the completion of BrotherhoodII/Freedom Force! I've been awaiting Mystique and the gang since i noticed that they'd snuck Pyro into the first set. My only regret is that Lanche is in his new costume. He's the only one that will look out of place and odds are really really slim that they'll ever do another version of him. Oh well, i guess we can't have everything.

Spy Master: Nope, Rogue was never part of Freedom Force, she was Brotherhood.
Dryden: Yeah, I didn't like Avalanche's sculpt/paint either, actually really been thinking about trying to redo him a bit. Don't see them doing another one of him either, heh, but that's alright.
Ta!

Don't forget...Silver Sabre (I think that was his name). He was a speedster ala Quicksilver. He was killed in on of the annuals last I recall though.
Oh, and Mastermind.

Hmm. Maybe not Mastermind. But there was Crimson Commando.

Spider Woman II, Crimson Commando, Stone Wall, and Super Sabre all joined at a later time.
None of these characters do I expect to see any time soon, heh, so I'll just be happy with the original line up. I'd LOVE to have the 9-person line up of:
Mystique
Destiny
Spiral
Pyro
Blob
Avalanche
Crimson Commando
Super Sabre
Stonewall
But the likely hood of those last three being made is rather slim.. and as you went to correct, no, Mastermind wasn't a member of Freedom Force..and yup, Super Sabre got his head taken off in The New Mutant, Annual #7. Poor Martin.
Yeah, I'm looking into mods for the last three, I would love to see them get made, but I am doubting it greatly.
I really loved the entire idea of Freedom Force when they came out, so I too look forward to having them all (although, technically speaking, wasn't Spiral also a later addition - like Fall of the Mutants time frame?). I also don't know what's up with the Avalanche scuplt.
but isn't it funny that out of all the teams in the Marvel universe, the second one to be completed (after Fan Four, which was fittingly the first) is Freedom Force? That just seems odd.

Totally looking forward to playing these guys! Any painters out there might want to take a paintbrush and paint 'Lanche light purple and silver - it's a simple repaint that adds a whole lot of nostalgia to the character. Not a perfect representation, but he looks far better than the colors he came in.
Hmm...now wondering if i should paint the giant silver "A" on his chest as well...
:)

Nope, Spiral was a founding member. We are garenteed to have them all by Xplosion. Wee.
Hmm, as for them being the next complete team, I think X-men are getting pretty close. To the team make up during the Mutant Massacres.
Nightcrawler
Colossus
Storm
ShadowCat
Storm
Wolverine
Magneto
Rogue
(Not sure if Havok was actually a part of the team or not..)
I'm sure I'm missing some in here, but like I said, pretty close.
[Edit: Added Rogue]
You also have Storm listed twice, but who's counting.
And finally they can face off against the Marauders! Oh, wait...

I really like it that WK/designers did the Brotherhood/Freedom Force.
they make a nice anti-X-men team !
Now If only I could get my hands on Nightcrawler ?!
then Xplosion should make the X-men nearly complete also(at least the first 2 teams !!):p
Havok was not with the X-Men at the beginning of the Mutant Massacre, and nor was Dazzler, so the line-up should be complete with: Rogue, Storm, Wolvie, Colossus, ShadowCat, Nightcrawler, and, if you feel like throwing him in, Magneto. You could also easily do the X-Factor from that time period, IF they make Beast and Iceman, cause then we'd have Cyk, Jean, Beast, Iceman, and Vulture can work as Angel in a pinch.

I recently went out and hunted down the books for the Debacle in Kuwait. I wasn't a fan before, but I was moreso after that. How long until we get Desert Sword, as well (especially with recent news being what it is)?

Hehe, so I did... well ...she's just THAT important! (No, not really, can't stand her myself. =p )
Vermithrax: As did I, found all three of the Annuals which covered the Kuwait mission at the shop I work for, it's a great read, been trying to pick up some old issues. (going to have to get UXM 255, the issue Destiny died in, off of Ebay or something.)
I really don't expect to see any of DS anytime soon, heh, except for maybe Arabian Knight.. because he was actually in another group as well. Veil died(Pyro), Aminedi died(Legacy virus, tie to Pyro?), Black Raazer and Sirocco fell into comic book limbo as far as I know.

yep also my favourite X-team !
Yep neXt set will include the Original Xmen, so no need to use Vulture !

Haven't heard a thing about Angel/Archangel coming, but who knows. In any case I think they are doing a pretty good job on getting the teams together.
Avengers: Well, I don't know a whole lot about these guys, but they seem to be everywhere already. The one's I do know, are out or coming.
The Brotherhood: Well, missing a few staple characters(IMO). Mastermind, Phantazia. (These two would allow you to finish up two different BoEM) They already have Core FreedomForce, so that's all good.
Defenders: Umm.. less Idea about these guys! :D As far as I can tell, it's like the Avengers, but with tons of other people thrown in. ::shrug::
Fantastic Four: Got ALL the core members in one go.
Hydra: Well....It's more like an army. Sure there are only specifically known Hydra members, but I don't know.. I also see this as one of the "Poor Man's Team"s(I.E. Not that important as some of the others..just my thoughts on it.)
Masters of Evil: Well, here we come across a problem.. we've had two, three sets coming, and still no figure of the guy who's ugly mug is the symbol for these guys!
Minions of Doom: Not only do these guys get Doom's Minions, as far as comics go, but many others baddies like Spiral, that get grouped in for the power it gives. Which is fine.
Shield: See Hydra Entry.
Sinister Sindicate: Missing a few guys I'd like to see personally. Bettle, Rhino, but there's a good amount already.. Personally don't know who made them up at any specific time.
Skrulls: See Hydra, Shield.
Spider-Man: Well, we have Spider-Man! :D
And then there's those goodie goodie mutants..
The X-Men: Which we've pretty much covered in past thoughts. Witht he exception of like.. Angel, Havok..and a few other lesser characters, I think they are going pretty well.

The New Mutants Annual #7(Kings of Pain Part 1)
The Uncanny X-men Annual #15(Kings of Pain Part 3)
X-Factor Annual #6(Kings of Pain Part 4, and End)
And by the way, the X-Factor one has a GREAT story in the back of Mystique, how she is coping with Destiny's death.

For some reason, Crimson Commando, Stone Wall, and the Sabre guy were some of my fav. mutants. Could anyone tell me how they died? I think I heard the last two died, but CC lives on. Anybody? Bueller? Anybody? Ferris Bueller?

Stonewall(Who only spoke in about 5 or 6 comics) died on Muir island when the Reavers were invaded, Electrocuted.
Super Sabre was beheaded by Aminedi the Invisible(of the team Desert Sword, a Speedster.) during the final Kuwait Mission.
Crimson Commando, during the same mission lost part of his arm.(Aminedi) and is sometimes thought to lose his legs, but didn't, the first few panels after the explosion lead you to thinking such, but when Avalanche is carrying him around, they are intact. He was rebuilt, Better, Faster, Stronger!:D As the cyborg: Commando.(And was the idea behind Super Patriot.)
Edited for a few typos.

Sweet! I may need to get those Desert Storm comics. I always like it when hero's die and the bad guy wins. I have no idea why....
Thanks for the info.

Well, technically they weren't 'good guys' :D The closest they ever got were 'anti-Heroes' ..and some of them not even that.
The worst part of it all, that it's highly rumored that Pyro got the Legacy virus from Aminedi while on the mission. As Aminedi was one of the first to die of it.. and it was learned not too far later that Pyro was 'tainted' (Quoted from Exodus). Which in the end, led to a very good characters death.
