1) Can a figure with a Wildcard TA take a team ability that is a keyword TA? (example: Runaways TA or Guardians of the Galaxy TA in Hammer of Thor) My guess is maybe not, however, the feat cards that give these TA's don't say that they can't be copied by wildcards. Though I am not sure, can a judge out there please tell me?:)

2) When a figure is using Brilliant Tactician, can they perplex themselves as well as the others they are perplexing? I am guessing yes, but I want to be sure.:)

Thank you anyone in advance!:cool::cool::cool:

i think technically they are ATAs so u can't copy them... brilliant tact is vicious, u can tactician up everyone with ur keyword and you... then u can perplex something else up on one person... ridiculous!!

to be clear about BT
BT activates when you use Perplex.
So you can perplex down an opponents def, which then activates BT.

Also a figure is friendly to itself.

I hope so

As long as it HAS keywords.

This is tangential to the thread at best but...

Just a word of caution... Sunday I used a FF theme team with both Black Panther and Mr. Fantastic and assigned BT to BOTH them... this was in a 1000 point game (Mine was the Judge's team to play bye round players, so it didn't matter for anything other than to keep the bye-round player engaged and happy during the bye round).

At one point I thought about hiring an accountant to keep track of all the Perplexes that were being applied ... :ermm:

Try an Illuminati team with BT on SI Strange, SI Mr. Fantasitc, Black Bolt, and SI Iron Man... and then Cerebro on M&M Prof. Xavier.

The only one who wasn't using Perplex left and right was Namor

So let me make sure I have this right:

I have a figure with BT...I can use Perplex on ANY enemy figure, then (at the same time) perplex my BT figure and every friendly character sho shares a keyword with my BT figure?

If I have a figure with BT that has at least two keywords, (say Mr. Fantastic with Fantastic Four and Illuminati), and I play Mr. Fantastic, Namor, Professor X, Thing, and Human Torch, can I perplex everyone? Or do I have to pick Fantastic Four OR Illuminati?

You can Perplex everyone.

The ruling for wild cards and alternate team abilities is that they cannot copy the alternate team abilities because they don't possess the team symbol and/or keywords that is the prerequisite to use the feat that grants the alternate team ability.

The term, "friendly" has to do with a character and its controlling player or allied team mate. Characters aren't friendly to each other and they're not friendly to themselves. They're friendly to their controlling player and allied team mates.

I once ran a Scientist team with four or five Brilliant Tacticians. To keep it as simple as possible, I'd Perplex defenses on every except my primary attacker (Justice League Experienced The Flash who would get attack and damage Perplexed). It was still really hectic to track.

Try BT on a 2000 point team, with random BFCs in play, and the `White Noise`BFC gets pulled  What a gong show.
