If a character is knocked back into a wall, the rules state that he takes an extra click of damage. Does Toughness prevent this, or any other damage-preventing power? Do you make a Super Senses roll separately (if applicable) against the damage from Knockback, or is the damage simply added to the initial attack? If that's the case, could a character who normally does only one click of damage conceivably attack another character with Toughness, roll doubles, and Knock him back into a wall for 2 clicks, minus 1 for Toughness, so 1 click total damage?

Also, at what point does a character being knocked back go THROUGH the wall, leaving it as hindering terrain? If he does go through a wall, and hits another wall, does he take extra damage for the extra wall?

Also, if a character is knocked back into the map-edge, does he take any damage or does he just stop? If a character is knocked back into hindering terrain, does it stop him, slow him down, or does he just keep going? Does it affect him at all?

For the first part of your question, take a look here (http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=27057). It's already been nicely typed out and should help.

As to the others---

Being knocked back into a wall never destroys the wall unless you are using your own house rules, and in that case you can decide yourself.

For knockback, the map edge is treated as an indestructible wall. If a figure collides with it they will take a click of damage just as if it were any other blocking terrain.

Hindering terrain has no effect on knockback.

Hope those help you,

1) Toughness will sort of work... By that I mean, typically knockback is done by an attack. With that attack, there is damage. That damage is added to the click of damage by the wall. Toughness will absorb 1 click from the total. Now there is Force Blast, where there is just knockback... no damage except for hitting the wall. Toughness will absorb 1 click from the total (0+1=1). Similar rules for getting knocked off a building.

2) On the outdoor map, you can't bust through the walls of the buildings. On the indoor maps, it takes 3 clicks of damage to break a wall. You only take 1 click for hitting the wall. I don't think you can knock someone through the wall.

3) The map edge is just another wall for game purposes. The same rules apply there as they do for a regular wall.

Ok, I had that answer, but I stopped to watch the end of Joe Millionaire. No fair!
