Depends.

Mayhaps the person who finished 1st decides to take a LE3, rather than a 4.

Mayhaps the judge, due to exceptional turn out, decides to add more prize support to the pool. This happens often at the venue I play at. Heck, last saturday, I won a sealed tourney that had 16 people show up for, and the judge had 2 4's, and 4 3's for prizes. I choose poorly, and got the Man-Bat. 2nd Place got Arthur.

Is possible.... but your best chances are to win.

I played in a big tourney at last summer's chicago Wizard World. When they handed out the "door prize" LE for participating, the guy next to me got a Bruce Banner! For just playing! At the time no one knew what his rarity would be. I had the guy considering a trade for a Thanos and another common straight up. He really considered it. I felt it was a pretty even trade at the time. Now I wish I would have offered two Thanos and 10 commons!

I saw that. I think that Jeff (the judge) should've opened the LE4s (from the bottom) before the tournament so everyone would've known that they were playing for the A.Curry.

It seems only fair that 1st should've gotten that prize. Maybe Jeff will change it next time around.

In the strict sense, you shouldn't be able to win an Arthur Curry for taking second, as 1st place should receive and le 4 (like Arthur), with 2nd and Fellowship claiming le 3's.
