My venue is running a 400 point senario on monday in which every figure needs to have a different team ability. I was thinking of running

CR028 Deathstroke 156
Vampirism 12
Armor Piercing 10

SV047 E Kang 129

SV043 V Skrull General 43

CR223 Thunderer of Qward 50

Comes to 400 pts even. What does everybody think of this team?

Two 100+ figures on a four man team is a risky proposition IMO...

Here's a 400pt Soldier team that follows the guidelines and should work fairly well:

SI The Thing + Unstoppable 105
HA Captain America + Thunderbolts + Contingency Plan 89
IN V Johnny Alpha 64
AA Hitman 61
HA Bug 44
SV V Badoon Commander 37

= 400 points.

Thing gets TK'd for first strike, Cap and Hitman are your ranged pieces, both enhanced by the BC, while Bug runs interference and tie-up. Hitman can use the 2000AD TA for an AV boost.

AA Hitman 61
HA Bug 44

I cannot believe someones actually suggesting that piece. Its not thats its a bad figure, on the contrary, but its from the Indy set and rarely does anyone recommend them. I like this team a lot.

That's a fun team. I was considering a team with Rocket Racoon to get some PC (wonderful help for Thing and Cap), but that would require some serious retooling...

That is a great team. I wish I could field it. Thanks for the help and suggestions. Unfortunately I do not own a Johnny Alpha (he's on my wants) or a Hitman (I never had aything to trade for it), or Starter thing (I quit when I heard about the hiatus and so I never bought the starter, and by the time that the game came back everyone was sold out of the starter and no one carries the classics packs). But thanks again for the suggestions and I'll just think of something for tomorrow.

Thing is also available now in the classics packs, which are nice and inexpensive; very nice figures for the cost.

Actually I am going to field this team. I checked Toys'R'Us and they had the classics packs so now I have Thing and a friend is going to lend me Hitman and Johnny Alpha. Thanks agian and I'll let you know how it does.
