Some of my pet peeves are as follows:

1. Don't touch my figs.

2. Arguing over los.

3. Constantly looking up PAC on a team that you "always play."

4. Eating chips while playing.

5. And then asking to see my Nightcrawler with your greasy paws.

I could go on, but I'll leave that up to the rest of you. Feel free to vent.

OK, I have to ask: does this mean you are the authority on line LOF? I should just take your word for it? :D

I will add one though:

People who use a combination of red and orange tokens to mark their figures. I'm color blind, so they look the same to me! I almost want to give them a hand full of blues....

Clearing tokens before it's time. It messes everything up. I love the "Two Colored Tokens" concept. I use green tokens one my first turn, then use purple on my second and clear off the green at the end of my second. If I push a person, I take his green off and add two purple. This makes things move so very much smoother.

If you can't afford tokens, use pennies. That's why God gave them two different sides. Heads for turn one and Tails for turn two.

1. People who don't know the rules but have this diva attitude like they know everything. SIGH...sad, sad

2. People who are arrogant at the beginning of the game but start being "nice" when they are losing just so they'll get the fellowship prize.

3. People who complain about the rules (keep in mind I'm not the firelord type nor am I the range-and-run type). Specifically regarding the combination of Charge and SuperStrength on Vet She-Hulk.

4. People who say it's not "fair" that I win every tournament at my venue. What's even worse is when I win the tourney using a Constrictor and a Nightmare on my team and they still say I "cheated." mmmk...whatever.

5. People who quit when they lose or roll badly.

6. People who miss a roll and want to start over "because this game is no longer an accurate representation of my team." Bullsh1t! Cry me a freakin' river.

7. People who b.itch about not getting a fellowship prize after playing with 3 firelords, some wasps, black panthers, and more than enough medics. That's just too bad for them. :p

Well...those are my long-winded pet-peeves. Notice every one starts with "People who..."

oh yeah, and poeple who win EVERY tournament. LOL not that it's unfair or they cheat or anything, but heck, let someone else win once in awhile! LOL

( I alway's seem to get second or third) Course, I'm not that good, so there ya go :)

People who bring out great figures, lose, and say they let you win or that they weren't playing seriously.

People who get great pieces on their first set yet don't continue to play the game or have the logic to sell their pieces.

The best tokens for Heroclix are poker-chips. Standard poker-chips are just barely bigger than the dial-base. You can get a pack for about $1.50 with 25 each red, white and blue chips. Player one marks with red, player two marks with blue if you add a white chip, you know they're pushed.

The best thing about them is that they are inobtrusive, and you can have a bunch of adjacent clicks in melee without wondering who is and isn't marked.

Peeve: People who have to use "fancy" dice. Someone started a game with me using a clear, hollow die with another die inside it. Well, not only could I not even see what he was rolling because of this silly die, but it seems like a die like that could end up not being very random, if the inside die isn't rolling around inside there.
I politely asked if he would use normal dice. So he pulls out those weird oblong 6-siders that you used to be able to get in Dragon magazines. Hey, which part of "normal" didn't you understand?!

We have a VERY simple house rule on dice: Anyone can use any dice as long as everyone agrees. That means you can bring you wacky hollow thingie (and I agree that they are a bit pants) but I get to use it too if I agree. The only dice you can't veto are the white ones that come in the starter :)

Actually one of my pet peeves is people who field what LOOKS like a great team, and then play like a total spakka. Like a guy whe fielded a team the other day that had a Rookie Firelord and a Dr Strange. I thought "this it kinda cheap, but he's going to try some taxi action here and some Enhanced EE: I could be in trouble if I don't play carefully". But no, the wally ends up using firelord to taxi Pyro into the middlo of the board (out of range) and I just drop a Logan on him before he can react. Oh well.

people who complain about the games flaws when the begin to loose, especially when they claim that so and so doesn't deserve a certain power, when they've yet to read their second comic book

People who "remind" me to click guys for pushing or knockback (or critical miss, on second thought) before I have a chance to do it myself. REALLY irritating.

i hate it when someone switches flying figures around. nothing like attacking a vulture, only to find out it's actually an ultron base (my judge ruled it legal, seeing as how the base doesn't get changed) i'm thinkin my thug'll take him out, oops no he has invulnerablity, shoot wasted turn!

1.) People that fill the Rumor board with: Speculation, desires, wants, wishes, etc. I.E. Things that are not Rumors!

2.) People that BEG for figures, because 9/10 times they get that figure, they complain about this or that, and are never sated.

3.) People..that's right, people in general. :D

4.) Ahem, People that think we care about their wants, concerns, and 'needs'.:D (Ok.. that's not entirely true, usually only applies to petty things. )

5.) Not being able to think of the rest of my pet peeves, when I know almost everything applies!;)

6.) Ok, back to the game. People that can't figure out Line of Sight for themselves. I even provide them with string!

7.) People that just don't bother to read the rules. New players get a bit of room, as do younger kids. But the people that have no excuse irk me, and I let them know it.

8.) Those days, that you just aren't in the mood to host a tounrey, and hope to GOD that there aren't enough people to run a Tourniment, and then 12 or so show up.

9.) The way I do prizes.. ..it's begining to take too long.

10.) I'm actually done, but yeah.. =p

11.) Ta! Have fun gaming!

Kibitzers!

I despise that guy who walks over and scouts your game, then offers 'advice' to either me or my opponent - let us play our own game!

your opponent should be disqualified for that it's called cheating !
the dial of the base (them numbers) need to correspond with the fig on the base !

my nr.1 pet peeve is people who don't trade Nightcrawler with me !

My pet peeve is smoke cloud. Not the power - cigarettes. Maybe I should always play Firelord against such people - "there's no smoke without fire ..."

Actually, unfortunately it's completely legal. I know a couple of "dirty" players who intentionally use a weak figure on a more powerful base to trick other players who don't take the time to look at the base. The judge (at least at all the venues in my area) only cares that the base and dial match. The figure on top means nothing. I find it cheap and a lousy way to win, but it's legal nonetheless.

my group knows just how you feel about figs not matching the base; when IC first came out I got an exp vulture base with an Annihilus fig. I played him cause I wanted a friggin Vulture. one of my friends complained so much that whenever I use a exp. Vulture in one of my armies I make sure I use Annihi-Vulture, thats what he gets for complainin

Warden: Luckily we play in our Comic Shop, and smoking isn't allowed there, I don't think I'd enjoy that very much myself.

Tautology: Yeah, that became a problem at the place I host games.. ..it's kind of a hard call sometime, especially with new players or young kids, you know they need some help to learn the rules a bit, and to properly learn how to use their army. And sometimes their opponent are willing to give them this help, though usually not. In the end, I ruled that No One was allowed to comment on anyone elses game, while it's taking place. I didn't like that it had to come to it, but in the end, it did.

And finally..TheFreak: I've known that you could do that for a long time, heh, none of my players have done it quite yet, but I'm waiting for it! Knowing my players there will be plenty of complaints, heheh. A few of my players have completely redone some characters, making some of their favorite characters, so those you have to check when playing them, otherwise it's pretty straight up here. (But they are getting tricky!:D )

My pet peeve is guys who are clearly in the lead of a tournament after building a super cheesy crutch team suddenly complaining about a single ruling a judge makes against him. No one in particular mind you :)

Putting another figure on a base is not legal. There must be no confusion about what the figure is. This is why painting a fig has limits. You can repaint a fig as long as the game piece is easily recognizable to your opponents.

I could have sworn you can make any modifications to the figure just so long as you don't touch the base to change it in any way.

has to be thesame as the dial:
click the dial to starting position then click it back 1 click (into the KO there you see a small printed number, that number has to correspond with the base number(nr. next to the set symbol).

the fig must be thesame fig as the dial (Vulture on the Vulture dial/base), so people can't make mistakes which could cost them the game !
even painting/altering the fig in such a way that it is no longer represents thesame fig isn't allowed in tournament play.

this is from Mageknight, but it's obviously thesame for Heroclix !

putting a Vulture on a Ultron dial is blatant cheating !
If you're doing it in friendly games to fool someone, I wouldn't like playing with you !

Well, you have to remember that there's a large diference in MageKnight, and Heroclix figures.

MageKnight figures are painted according to their r/e/v.

But all in all, I've been actually searching for the writen rules on this.. and oddly enough.. haven't been able to find them. (I KNOW they were there.. ) Anyone that can point them out, would be appreciated.

Not looking for people's interpretation of the rules, looking for the actual ones. Link, description of where to find them, would be very welcomed, thanks.
