For this scenario, the Ragnarok Event Dial will be used. This is a free-for-all battle.
Background
Weary of their terrible burden of protecting the mold of Mjolnir, the dwarves Brok, Buri, and Eitri attempted to destroy the mold by throwing it into the Gunin-Gap, void from where the universe came. Instead, Loki captured the mold and made a deal a deal with Surtur the fire demon to create a horde of Mjolnir-like hammers for his new army. In the ensuing calamity, Asgard and the lands between were overrun and many heroes lost their lives. Thor, thought to have been slain by the Midgard Serpent, returned and rallied the remaining Asgardians to Vanaheim to make their last stand. After fighting off Loki’s armies, Thor reunited himself with the Odinforce, which had abandoned him some time ago. After walking the path of his father and learning the truth of Ragnarok, Thor brought about the final Ragnarok, seemingly ending the cycle forever by sacrificing all of Asgard.

Win a Free Brick of DC 75th Anniversary!
Win an unopened brick of DC HeroClix 75th Anniversary! Besides buying the required two boosters to play in the tournament there will be an optional $5.00 buy-in. All players that participate in the $5.00 buy-in will be eligible to win a DC 75th Anniversary unopened brick!
The tournament will consist of four rounds. The first three (3) rounds will be standard Swiss-style rounds. The fourth round will be the Championship Round. The top two finalists will complete head to head in the Championship Round for not only the first place prize, but also the grand prize... the DC 75th Anniversary brick!... that is if the winner participated in the optional $5.00 buy-in. If the winner did not participate in the buy-in, it will go to second place if he bought in. If not, it will continue down the line until an eligible person who bought it receives the brick!
The reason for the buy-in is to help pay for the brick. I'm buying the brick out of my own pocket, so the buy-in will help me recoup some of the loss. If the buy-in is successful and everyone likes it, we will continue this model for every opening day tournament for each set released in the future!
Setup
Buy two boosters of DC 75th Anniversary. Players will have 15 minutes to build a 300-point team and then will battle for supremacy!
Victory
Victory will be awarded per the standard HeroClix rules.
Note: The games are subject to the 50 minute tournament rule from the HeroClix Comprehensive Tournament Rules.

After regrouping, the Infinity Watch confronts the two and Pip the Troll teleports them all to the sanctuary of the evil Thanos, who is far from happy to see any of the heroes. Still, he assists by trapping Thor in a stasis field and helps banish the Mind Valkyrie back into Thor's psyche. The heroes transport Thor to Odin, who determines that it is not warrior madness that afflicts Thor, but his own mental weakness. Victory

House Rules:
Updates are in red - Last Update - Monday, 16 August, 2010
Golden Rule: Please be courteous to Game Matrix staff. Without them, our games would not be possible.
Be Ready: Please have your team(s) made before you show up. This will ensure that we start on time. You have one week between tournaments; this is adequate time to build a force. This includes your figures, ATAs, feats, objects, and BFC’s. If you show up and don’t have ATAs, feats, objects, and BFCs chosen when the judge asks you to reveal your force you can’t use any during the tournament.
Be On Time: Set-up is at 6:45 P.M. Clear tables, set up maps, etc. Teams to be revealed to the judge at this time as well. Games start at 7:00 P.M. sharp. If you are going to be late, please call ahead and let us know. If you are no more than 10 minutes away we can wait for you. This is on a case by case basis. If you are chronically late we will start without you regardless if you call or not.
Reveal Forces to Judge: Teams must be secretly revealed to the judge to double-check and record point totals. Your 3 BFCs must be revealed to the judge. Optional Force Build Forms will be supplied if you ask for them.
Print and Play: Print and play is allowed but these guidelines must be followed to ensure a clear reading of the cards: 1) All cards must be printed in color. 2) All cards must be properly sized to match the original card. 3) Cards must be legible. If they can’t be clearly read, they are not useable. 4) Cards must be in good shape, not having any tears, rips, or missing corners. 5) For each card assigned to a character, a physical card must be present. If you have the same feat assigned to multiple characters, you must have a card for each character the card is assigned to; e.g. Armor Piercing is assigned to 3 figures, you must have 3 copies of the Armor Piercing feat card. 6) Bystander and Object tokens that are printed for play must have the corresponding card to accompany them; this is to ensure that all relevant information is present. Any cards that don’t meet all of the above criteria will not be allowed for tournament play.
Proxies and Modifications: Proxies and modifications for figures and objects are allowed but must follow these guidelines: 1) During the Reveal Forces phase of game setup you must clarify to your opponent that you are using a proxy and/or modification and properly identify what figure or object is being used. Failure to do so will result in an automatic forfeiture of that game. 2) The dial inside of the base must represent the dial base. No replacing dial stickers. 3) All relevant information must accompany the figure, bystander token, or object, i.e. you must have the corresponding character card, bystander card, or object card present. Your opponent has the right to request this information at any time, and failure to have the relevant cards present will result in a forfeit for that match.
Silver Age Format House Rule: Replaces the Modern Age Format. 1) Figures from all sets can be used, regardless of the Age they belong to. 2a.) Feats can only be assigned to figures that belong to pre-Avengers sets, i.e. any figures that don’t have character cards. This helps the older figures become more playable in the Modern Age Format. 2b.) ATA Feat cards are not banned. They can be used on any figures that meet the prerequisites, regardless of the Age they belong to, but must use the current wording of the ATA card. 3) All maps are tournament legal regardless of the Age they belong to. 4) All objects are tournament legal regardless of the Age they belong to. 5) As per the standard Modern Age format, BFC’s cannot be used. 6) Event Dials and Scenarios will be set up by the judge on occasion, and will be used in the Silver Age Format.
Highlander House Rule: The official rules state that a Unique with the same set symbol and character can’t appear twice in a force build. The Highlander rule takes this a step further. You cannot have any two characters on a force build that share both the same set symbol and character #; this includes bystander tokens. (From the Highlander movie, “There can be only one”, for you noobs.) Of course, this rule does not apply to Generic figures, including generic bystander tokens. Universe and Classics sets and their original counter-parts can be played together, as they don’t share either the same set symbol or character. Exceptions can be made for characters such as the Stepford Cuckoos, Multiple Man, and others; just talk to the judge at least a day before the tourney to get approval.
Swiss-style Matches: In most cases, we will play the standard three Swiss-style 50 minute games. On occasions, we may have a Championship Round between the two finalists. Sometimes, we may only play one game, such as big team battle free-for-all games, Colossal, or comic-accurate scenarios with all players on one map(s). In most cases, prize support will be given normally: champion, 2nd place, & fellowship. In some rare circumstances, fellowship will not be awarded; e.g. scenarios where all players are on one map vs. the judge, etc.
Grace Period: Each game will have a 10 minute grace period to set up before the timer begins to count down. No one can start actual play until this grace period has passed or all players are finished setting up, whichever occurs first. This will ensure that all players get a fair and equal amount of game time. (This grace period consists and applies to all aspects the game set-up phase rules as explained in the Blackest Night Starter Set.)
Champion and Runner Ups: Per the Official Comprehensive Tournament Rules, the champion and runner ups will be declared by wins. Victory Points are used for tie-breakers.
Bye Rounds: In the case that an odd amount of players show up, before the first game, players will roll 2d6. Lowest result will be awarded the first bye round. Subsequent bye rounds will be awarded based on lowest amount of wins, then lowest amount of victory points. No player will ever be awarded two bye rounds at one event. Persons who receive bye rounds get an automatic win and are awarded zero victory points.
Maps & Supplies: Maps will be supplied. Please treat them as if they were your own. You are allowed to bring and use your own maps as well. With exception to maps, you are expected to come prepared. Please bring all necessary equipment you need to play. If not, you will be at the mercy of others’ kindness to let you borrow them.
Fellowship: The prize for Fellowship will be a secret vote at the end of the tournament. Votes will be entered into a ballot box or handed to the judge. The votes will be tallied and fellowship awarded accordingly. In the event that a player won a prize by becoming the champion or 2nd place, or wins a prize via other means, and also wins fellowship, the fellowship prize will be awarded to the person with the second amount of votes. You can not vote for yourself for fellowship. This falls into the same category as cheating. See the last rule on this page.
Cheating / Stealling: Anyone caught throwing a match so his opponent is awarded the win will result in both players being disqualified from the tournament, as this is a form of cheating. Anyone caught cheating beyond a reasonable doubt or caught stealing will be automatically black-listed from ever participating in our HeroClix games. Play with honor, integrity, and good sportsmanship.
