After watching the DD movie and with the music still in my head... (I might buy the CD to get it out of my head... *grumbl grumble*) I decided that I would make a map representing the motorbike scene and when Elektra fights Bullseye (even though they weren't in the same area)

Screen shots to follow....

I greatly look forward to seeing your next map, all others you've made have rocked.
Thanks much :D

are you gonna make the sections 3-d? I think you should... I am really getting into 3-d maps. they add a lot to a game and if you make small modular maps you can display your clix!!!!

That looks like it will be a very cool theme map. Keep up the good work!

Further awesome showing. What program are you creating these maps in may I ask? Not that I expect to have access to said program, but I'm just curious.

this is the first map I've combined both Photoshop and Illustrator.

The car, motorbike, ladders, recycling bins, truck, corpse, clothesline etc etc.. were made in Illustrator. The motorbike took 5 hours to make and the corpse took 4 hours to complete.

The layout (building, sidewalk, ledges, street etc etc..) was done in Photoshop.

Up to this point the file is roughly 322 megs (worry not, no one will be downloading 322 megs for a map!)

And now...the end result...

Special thanks to TalonMC for some valuable input, cheers.

Just to point out some stuff with this map...

the corpse near the car is not considered hindering terrain

the fence, clothesline, garbage, recycle bins, car, truck and motorcycle are hindering terrain.

the 3 vents are blocking... i'll add something to distinguish this at a later point...

but for now...
yet to be named map (http://members.rogers.com/heroclix/images/f1/daredevilmap2-v6.jpg)

Awesome map, Drashia! Really cool! Several scenes from Daredevil all on 1 map. Gotta love that! :p

Drashia, I printed out your map yesterday and we tried it out last night. Very cool. It seemed a very fun and balanced map... at least when the teams start on opposite ends of the street. It may not be from the other direction, but that's not how I expect we will play it. Anyways, the one thing I would comment on is that though I know it was created in super detail (just by looking at the Limo you posted), the full version loses a bit of that detail. I don't know if it is because you were trying to get it smaller or if I'm doing something wrong, but is there any way I could get you to post up or send me the large version (or a largER version)? If so, that would be much appreciated. Anywho, if you'd rather send it than post it, my email is [email protected]

Wonders never cease, Drashia. I am amazed at the detail on this map, but we should expect nothing less from an artist such as yourself. Thanks for working so hard on this map.

actually the pic is merely a thumbnail version...

The actual map is in 72 dpi in scale 2592 pix sq (36 inches square). The thumbnail is only 600 x 600 pix. That stretched out to actual scale would be shoddy at best. I still have to slice this thing and put it on the UOR site.

I may actually revamp the lower left section to include the park where Elektra and DD fight... but that'll probably be much later on... A lot of projects on the go right now.

That's kind of what I'd figured, but I REALLY wanted to try it out. Anyways, is there any way you could get me the full (un cutup) jpg? Otherwise, I'll just find myself taking said PDF file and putting it back together into one big jpg (as I've done with most of the ones on your site), since that's how I print them out. Please let me know.

if you like, send over a blank CD and I'll burn the unscathed maps on the CD for you. 150 resolution Tiffs if you like, but they are nasty massive files.

Your maps are awesome. Loved Castle Doom and the Madripoor Map has been fun to play on.

Looking forward to downloading this one, too, when you're finished with it.

Will you also post your Sewer Map on UOR as well?

Also, I have an Arkham Asylum Map that I'm working on. WOuld you be willing to post it on UOR?

Send over Arkham, I'll have it posted asap... asap-ier than mine...

Map looks great Drashia, can't wait to be able to play on it. One of my friends will be psyched! He loves daredevil and especially that fight from the movie. Thanks for your hard work
