Shape Change and Skrulls question?

Here is the question of the day for me. If you are the attacker and you declare an attack on a character with shape change, and they make their role so you cannot attack them, does the attacker have to take a token because they tried to attack via a power action and now can't? This also applies to skrulls if they make their role against the attacker as well right?

That character must do something, yes.

Depending on the type of action used, it may still be able to attack another character, or destroy a wall, etc.

But even if it can't do any other stuff, even if it just has to sit there and twiddle its thumbs, that character still tried to attack so it will get a token.

Thanks for the speedy response yet again. I will be a rules champion in no time at this rate lol. Power action to twiddle thumbs, shape change just went up in value in my book.
