I have a couple of questions that I'm sure have been answered before, but I cannot find the answers to:
1.) Though I wouldn't agree with it, does the fact that Surtur is in the character's name activate regular Fire demon's Minion special powers?
2.) If I put armor piercing on son of Surtur and use his special power, do all the 5's and 6's I roll with adjacent fire demons deal penetrating damage?
Like I said, sorry to ask questions that have most definitely been answered but I need to know.

1 is a no - only ragnarok ('n roll) surtur has been errata'd to be allowed for the fire demons minion power.
as for 2, i don't see why not, as the damage does originate from the son of surtur, and he'd have the AP

Both answers are the way I would have ruled them, but I know of some people out there who love to argue for the sake of doing it. Just wanted to get answers weighed in by several other oppinions/facts.

Wait what i thought that Rag Surt was errated so he would work with the Fire Demons.
He still does...read closer. It says that he was the only one that WAS errata'd to work with them.

Semantics, but...
He won't deal penetrating damage, but the damage he deals will not be able to be reduced below 1.
It's not semantics. It does actually have a difference.
If it were penetrating damage and the opposing character had Life Model Decoy, he wouldn't take damage because penetrating damage isn't reduced by traits or powers. Feats are still golden.
OTOH, with AP, that damage can be reduced, just not to less than 1.

Another Question, Would the Skullduggery feat card work with his special power or not? Even though it would be awesome, I'm leaning toward no because skullduggery says "when targeting an opponent" and I'm not so sure that "Fan the Flames" targets someone.

From the PG:
"SKULLDUGGERY
In order for a roll to be made for a possible token, there must be a target opposing character being dealt damage. If the damage is dealt from an untargeted attack (Pulse Wave, Poison, etc.) then the roll would not take place."
"Fan the Flames: At the beginning of your turn, roll a d6 for each opposing character adjacent to one or more friendly characters named Fire Demon. On a roll of 5 or 6, deal 1 damage to that opposing character."
It does not say that they are targets, so I would agree that it does not work.

PLEASE DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER!!! That being said, a guy at my venue tonight said that there was a ruling made today that Son of Surtur now DOES activate the minion power on the Fire Demons. I still think it's wrong, but since I was working today and didn't get to see anything for myself, I was just looking to see if there was any truth to this. (Even though it would help an upcoming team, I hope he's full of it)

no such ruling.
It may have been a house rule but nothing official.
Definitely not a house rule either. At least at our venue. That player has been caught trying to bend the rules on more than one occasion, though too, so that's why I wanted to check the facts before playing him again.
