Well, since she's an LE5, and Venues only get LE5s for running Marquees, I'm gonna say no, I don't think it's a crooked Venue.

There are some bad people out there. But please, at least look into the place before you go around implying that the seller is cheating the system.

This isn't an attack against you personally, it's more directed at everyone who cries wolf when they see a high level LE on eBay, if they see tape or an otherwise damaged booster, and who whines about how the comic shops are opening the boosters and taking the good figures every time they get a bad pull.

In conclusion, I'm done ranting. :) Please, nedleeds, don't take this personally, it's not a flame of you, it's a flame against the fact that the entire situation has got so out of hand that the most common reaction is "He's cheating us!"

Agreed ... let me rephrase. I've attended every marquee thats ever come around the Atlanta area. I recall Ben and Johnny being hte LE5 prizes. Where are Blastaar and Natasha being given out ? Cons ? The west coast ? I hadn't seen anything on wizkidsgames.com regarding another marquee.

They are being given out at Cons, as far as I know, much the same that the Hulk and Sabretooth LEs were given out.

Ever notice how people lately are all like.. reading to pounce on anyone that has something they want? Or perhaps that's just my observation.. ..it's all.. "Rawr Rawr! it's crooked! She's Crooked! EB's Crooked!" ..or the people that come on here asking others if a certain person/place/booster pack has something wrong with it!

The guy is a cheat. You have to be pretty darn good to win enough tournaments to amass that many LE's. To wind up with a complete set of Clobberin Time LE's (including 2 level 5s that I have never seen before on eBay or a tournament) and either have another complete set to keep or not care about them enough to sell them all sounds highly unlikely.

So this guy is saying that he is good enough to win all these, but doesn't care enough about them to keep them?

Sounds like dung to me. He is probably a crooked judge keeping prizes and selling them on eBay.

This reminds me of all those hackers who ruined Diablo II with fake items.

If you read the post above, apparently the seller doesn't claim to have won them all. He went through the trouble to trade for them, and if the whole time his intent was to get together a full set, so be it. In fact, economically a full set probably sells for well more than the sum of the individual sales, so perhaps he put together a set for the sole purpose of selling.

And for those who don't know---Natasha and Blastaar are two additional Level 5 LE's. They were not the Marquee prizes, and I doubt they are intended to be prizes in any normal tournament either. I have heard of them in a few instances, and it seems that for now WizKids sends them out personally to a few select recipients, and there is nothing wrong with those LEs being sold afterwards. They are not being given as prizes and I have not heard of any sort of agreement prohibiting the sale. And since many places do seem to have turned around and sold them, I don't think it's surprising that someone whose intent was to collect a full set came upon them.

When hearing of these two new LEs a few weeks ago, my first assumption was that they had been given out at the very recent UK Toyfair. However, I learned that such wasn't the case, and unless they were given out at the US Toyfair then I don't believe they have been convention giveaways. Maybe for the future, though, with many summer cons coming up. If they are given away anywhere, I'm sure we'll hear of it.

In case it isn't clear, I am very firmly in the boat which asks that we not pounce purely for the sake of pouncing. And my job here is partly to pounce, so what does that tell you?

She's been added. Not reading the whole post, but if Knight-Ware.com is selling them, they are legitimate and obtained honestly. They are *very* good people who I have dealt with on many occasion. They go to a lot of cons and do a lot of buying and selling.

Anyway, yeah, it sounds like this dealer was on the level. It really is a shame that bad venues/judges do exist, because they make everyone who decides to sell LE's look bad.

have to agree...the guy does not state he won them all, but that he traded for some.

as a venue I have yet to see a natasha or blastaar. does this suck? you bet...but as long as wizkids keeps providing the FREE prize support for my players I have very little room to complain. sure, I would love to have one to give out to a player as a prize...but alas, this is not the case. as such, I will continue as normal and issue the prizes given to my players...

I too am of the mind that many people are into this "witch hunting" mode when ever they see something on ebay... research and a little forethought before crying "wolf" would be in order.
