Silver Surfer
Range=10
Arrows=2
flying, Defenders team ablity
12 11 10 10 9 9 9 8 8 8
12 10 10 10 10 10 9 9 9 8
18 17 16 16 16 15 15 14 13 10
2 2 3 3 3 2 2 1 1 1

That is what I think the Surfer should have. I saw another one made by Lonehawk and it was cool. Feel free to post your own Silver Surfer stats.

Speed-hypersonic speed, then running shot
Attack-super strength, then energy explosion
Defense-invulnerablity, then toughness
damage-RCE

(the fourth 10 should be orange for EE, I messed up.)

Silver Surfer
Range=10
Arrows=3 POINTS: 110

Flying,
13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13 13
14 13 12 11 11 10 09 09 09 09 09
18 17 17 17 16 16 16 16 16 16 15
3 3 3 3 3 2 2 2 2 2 2

Speed = Running Shot for click 1 - 5, Hypersonic for 6 - 8
never needs to slow down because his board is moving for him.

Attack = Energy Expolosion for last 5 clicks

Defense = Impervious click 1 - 3, Willpower clicks 4 - 8, clicks 9 - 11 E/S deflection or Regeneration.

Damage = RCE for all clicks

The reason he should look like that is he is better than "He who shall not be named" .

Haven't read him in a while so not sure about any real group. But perhaps a F4 member???

Points are like that because he obviously needs to be played over "that other herald".

I did not come up with this to trash the "FL" it is the only way to do just to Silver Surfer since they were both created the same way. Also SS should be a Unique otherwise the only difference between the Rookie & Experienced is that they should look like the Thug (actually the gotham policeman just to keep SS on the side of good).

Namor - I am curious, how did you decide on this particular set of stats and powers? Also, how much do you think this figure would cost? Why did you pick Defenders as a team ability? I would think that, in general, Silver Surfer would have no team ability.

Dr. Ramius - Pretty much the same questions I asked Namor. Why did you select those particular stats and powers? How did you determine the point cost? While he has been associated with the FF has he ever been a team member?

Just curious as to how people have made their customs.

I came up with the Stats by no logic or reason but my own. I believe he should be a powerhouse. I took powers that would best represent him. The team ability I stated only as a possiblity not that he should be a memeber of any team. I said the F4 only because that is the only team I recall him working with. As I said I haven't read his comics in a while though.

As for the point cost I just threw a generic number in there that would be on par with Firelord.

As for making a custom figure alas I am unable due to lack of creative forces on my part.

id say start him off with the 14 movement with hypersonic speed like the worlds at war superman, let him have it for 4 clicks, then turn it into running shot for a few more. i know he has super strength but its not in his character to pick up a dumpster and smash a guy with it,...let him start with energy explosion and keep it for a while...give him the ol' firelord 13 attack to start 17 defense with inv of course and then yeah long range expert with a damage of 2 or 3, another big bad cosmic, now i like surfer and all as much as the next nerd but he had better be 200 points or tournements arent going to be much fun,...i heard form the wiz kids convention in NY last weekend that there will be no silver surfer made because he is too powerful,...thread member thanosx did his best to dissuade homever he could to reconsider so lets keep our fingers crossed

ps please make multiple man, electro, and wonderman

I gave him those stats and powers because I know the character pretty good. I have a bunch of his comics. I also wanted him to be playable (not give him too much power). These stats represent the time he was trapped on earth. The reason I gave him the defenders team abilty is because he was a founding member(Defenders #2 i believe) and they need more Defenders in the game. I hope WizKids makes him.

Oh yeah I think he would cost like 190 to 200 points with the stats I gave him.

I agree with Defenders.

Also, Dr. Ramius: ACK! 3 target EE for 110 pts!!!

110 may be a tad low. 'specially with RCE on every click, and how easily multi-target EE can be abused.

I ran Namor's version of the Surfer through SciFiGuys Cost Spreadsheet, and got between 160 and 200 points, which is about where the Surfer should be, In My Opinion. He's probably the most powerful major superhero at Marvel, but he's not tremendously skilled, and he's got the tactical skillz of a drunken wombat... So he shouldn't be Ungodly powerful.

Dr. Ramius' version is probably gonna be in the 300 point range, by my best guess.

(Firelord was kind of a statistical fluke. The reason that he's so cheap is 'cause he doesn't have any of the hugely expensive powers like Hypersonic, Invulnerability, and Willpower. And RCE costs one *heck* of a lot when you've got a full dial of it, but it's reasonably cheap for characters with only four or five clicks of it.)

Damage: 4___/4___/3___/3___/3___/3__/3__/2P_/2P_/2P_/2P

R- Running Shot
Could have been Hypersonic speed, but since Surfer doesn't run up and punch people, I felt running shot war more appropiate

PB- Psychic Blast
Not because Surfer has any incredible psychic abilities, but because his blasts are powerful enough that little can reduce the damage that they can do.

IN- Invunerability
T- Toughness
You gotta be durable to survive in space.

S- Super senses
Cosmic awarness

P- Perplex
When Surfer has been beaten around he uses his powers unpredictibly.

I wanted Surfer to be usable in a 200 point game, so some sacrifices had to be made.
His attack and defense are on the low side, but very stable, because Surfer is a pacifist who wins primarily not because he out thinks someone but because he can just keep his power output stable while others wear themselves out trying to beat on him.
His damage is independant of RCE to help protect him from outwit.

Dr. Ramius' version is probably gonna be in the 300 point range, by my best guess. You know, I have looked at the spreadsheet made by SciFiGuy (modified from the work of Warlord420) and I do not think it accurately models figures. I ran a coupld of sample power characters through it, and they were way off. Thanos came in at around 130, instead of his 185 points. Sinestro came in at around 316 for the 300 point version. I discussed this at the WizKids Board, where I give accurate readings of my sample tests.

Anyway, I would like to make Silver Surfer at a power level close to Thanos, since that is what he is in the comics. As soon as I can figure out a more accurate way of computing the figure dials, I will try and make him.

Silver Surfer: green ring
2 arrows
10 range
Flight
Team: Defenders

This skill piece offers power, versatility and tough decisions for his controller. His abilities are a story in themselves.

Silver Surfer starts out with Running Shot, 2 targeted incapacitate, invulnerability and a solid 4 damage. This is to represent how much of a pacifist Surfer is. He can use incapacitate to give lesser threats a warning but does enough damage to attack a true enemy head on.

A small injury puts him on his "firelord" click. Doing a massive 5 points of damage with ranged attacks! As soon as someone finds a way to damage surfer, he knows that he's in for a real fight, so he pulls out the guns so to speak. He still has incapacitate for a less lethal alternative.

After he is injured, he gains the amazingly powerful Hypersonic speed while keeping incapacitate and gains support. Use Hypersonic Speed and Support for a surprise combo! Norrin knows that if he's injured, his teammates must be even worse, so he will use his power to heal if needed, he also goes full power and uses his speed to his advantage.

Then Surfer enters his next phase. He gains toughness, psychic blast and Outwit. This is probably the only time you will ever have a chance to heal him. Whatever hit surfer, caught him off guard, for now he is only tough. He drops his peaceful incapacitate powers in favor of a much more damaging blast. He also uses the power cosmic to partially negate any advantage his opponent has (outwit)

He then starts to rely on his cosmic awareness like never before. He knows he's injured so he goes on defensive mode, gaining a huge boost in defense and supersenses. at this point in the battle, surfer has regained from the devastation that has been delivered to his body. He has sustained enough damage to soften him up, but he still has his cosmic awareness to help him avoid being hit

On his very last click, his body is in total regenerative mode, unable to cause harm but able to both heal a teammate or regenerate himself. nuff said!
