Hi!

If a stealthfigure is hiding on the edge of hindering terrain, can an adjacent flying opposing figure the use a ranged combat to attack him? I reason that since they are in base contact the stealth is outmanouvered. Even if the flying character then takes off to get a ranged attack possible, he still sees the stealthoutmanouvered figure. If this is so, will the hindering terrain serve as a +1 defense for the stealthfigure in this scenario?

If the adjacent hoverer chooses to use close combat, then he uses the rules for close combat, but if chooses to use ranged combat then he follows the rules for ranged combat.

Even when adjacent, he needs LOF in order to make a ranged attack, and if there is a Stealth figure in hindering terrain then he cannot establish a clear LOF; he must instead use a close combat attack.
