GASP!! should've went FOUR for FOUR on the MASKS. "Electra" is looking very man-ish. Makes the hideous paint job on Psylocke look good.
Its the wig and the picture, in person she is a very attractive young lady. And I think you should show a little more tact in your posts. Lets not make this negative as it was done for fun and to promote the game we love.
Show some class

No, talonted is right. "That's no lady. That's a man, baby!"
He's not being negative; he's being critical. As am I. Labelling a post you disagree with as negative and tactless is, in itself, negative and tactless.
So:
The other cotumes look surprisingly good. Spidey's a little chubby to be Spidey -- but then again, anyone that height who weighs more than 80 pounds is going to look chubby in skin-tight Spandex.
And, IMHO, even though Bullseye's figure carries a gun, it would have been funnier to see him holding a can of pencils, and tossing them at the other actors/models where appropriate. "I can turn any object into a deadly weapon!" ;)

I still say a real fan would have gon the extra mile and made the AE bases. ;)
How big is that car that you got those fuzzy dice out of, anyway?
I'm actually interested in how it turned out. Who won? Was it team based (two on two) or did each "life sized charater" play for themselves?

So it was 2 on 2 with no flyers? I was expecting to see Vulture and Firelord. What's a Heroclix game without the two?
It's easy for nameless faceless people to bicker about why Firelord is borken or not. It's quite another thing when gamers put down others because of how they look. I think it is awesome that a live action clix game was played, and I think it even more awesome that people put on costumes to actually look the part. It's a shame that there are geeks out there willing to put down the way a woman looks when they probably have a tough time getting dates. I'd like to see your girlfriend talonted. Put her in latex and a wig and I'll bet you wouldn't put picture of her on the internet.

Does anyone know when I can get these clix on Ebay?
Okay stop laughing now.

Man, screw what those first couple of guys said, that game looks friggin' fun, regardless of the way the people look! Congrats on the game! We need more fans of the fun portion of the game like yourself and the people involved in playing, and less about the nit-picking and strategy!
Again, I say congrats!

Criticism was asked for, criticism was given. And in addition, by posing for a public event, one designed to generate publicity, in fact, those involved have set them up for scrutiny. Whether it is on the validity of the event or the execution, it is the natural consequence of making oneself a visible figure. Flaming those who speak ill of something reflects badly only on yourself.
This applies to all comments for this thread---everyone should be tactful. Those commenting on the event and those reacting to the comments are all allowed to be negative, but all must be civil.

Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day!!! :D:D
shhhh.....
Just be glad no one had to play Blade. Standing on one foot til you took a click, and then lying on the ground for the rest of the game! That would suck. (pun intended)

Just curious - are these the same "actors" available at www.marvel.com under Character Appearances?
No offense to the parties involved, but I wouldn't want a few of those showing up at my son's birthday party. The live actors I see at Universal Islands of Adventure are pretty good, though.

I don't know, the models were alright. Kinda cool, in a cheesy sort of way. Of course, who here among us can call anything "cheesy"...
go on, cast the first stone...
All I know is that I don't have the rocks to put on spandex...
Take that last statement however you choose.

It looks like that Spider-Man's base had the F4 team ability. Did the actors make their own bases with their own stats?
I didn't think Ben was a heroclix fan...
Pretty good... but the pics may have to be rescanned or something.
Overall, I'm mildly impressed... and that's saying alot
Do we get results of this thing?
Looks great! I'd ignore those first couple of posts; anonymous disparaging comments on a woman's appearance don't come from anyone whose opinions are worth noticing. I applaud your efforts and the results and hope you had a blast!

There are pics of the gang in this months issue of Scrye and Inquest. As well as an article in each -
we played teams of two and the good guys always won...
