Here's my tourney winning team from a sanctioned tourney last Saturday:

Moondragon 71
U Wasp 44
E Logan 49
E Vulture 20
V Hydra Medic 16

Used soda machine, computer, and bookshelf for objects.

My main regret? Bothering to field a medic. With Moony and Logan regening like mad, I'd have like to have had a better flyer than Vulture that could have generated some offense on his own.

I'd really like to improve this team keeping in mind that I want Moondragon as the centerpiece and I'd really like to see that U Wasp is in the picture. Any suggestions?

That is a good team.

How about dropping E Vulture down to R Vulture. Remove your Medic & substitute it with a V Sniper. 197 Points.

Plop the V Sniper somewhere to give Logan range support or use him to basically be a pain in the azz. This gives you more firepower & allows Logan & Moondragon do their thing.

You might cosider E Booster Gold or a Doombot for a flyer with some better offensive abilities and free move. Unfortunately I think you would have to downgrade Wasp or Logan to free up enough points. Not a tradeoff to take lightly your force looks great. Wish I had a U Wasp looks good and an effective piece.

I agree with the Doombot. Two free moving flyers. As far as Booster Gold is concerned, you said sancioned right? Mixing probably wasn't allowed then.

I agree, if you take out Vulture & Medic, you can add an experienced Doombot. This would give you another free moving flier that has offensive capability.

Though I'm not sure I'd want to go into a 300 pt tourney with only 4 guys, if you're thinking of dropping the medic anyways....
I'd say upgrade Logan to V (a MUCH better piece, though all versions rock) and then upgrade Vulture to V as well. You don't really need free moving flyers since you have 3 moves, leadership and Wasp's move every turn. V Vulture does 2 damage and has charge for 1 click. He's a winner in my book.

Our tourneys are always 200 pts. I'd never dream of doing a 300 pt game with only 4 pieces. I've never actually gotten to make or use a 300 pt tourney team, but that would rock!

Thanks for looking and advising guys. I looked up Doombot V and he's 38 pts. I was disappointed because if I drop Vulture and my Medic I get 37 points, BAH! Oh well.

I used your idea to create my own tourny army (my first Marvel HC one). I used the closest models I could find:

Based on what figs I had, I ended taking the following ( I ended up with 787 pts and 1-1-1 record).

E Doombot, E Logan, E Vulture, E Hydra Medic, and V Hercules.

Hercules took out Ultron by himself and the flyers put the fear of god in anyone without taxis.

I don't know your strategy with the Herc lead team, but your team's strengths heavily trend toward having an advantage against teams without taxis. With Logan and Herc, take down taxis and medics early when you are able to base the flyer but not the flyee (you know, the fig being taxied). High cost figs without support usually are forced to push or just sit there while the damage rains down on their head.

I do suggest that you try to fit some range in there. A little outwit and a little range could really do your team in (i.e. E Black Panther and V Bullseye making Herc's life a nightmare).

Tell me more about that tie... what was left on the board from both sides?

The game was vs. R Thor, E Quicksilver, and E Hercules at the outdoor map (the smaller buildings). Ended in a draw. We ran in circles not letting each other taxi the big hitter into range. Both of us wanted first blood. He tried to sneak Quicksilver around to get my medic but I positioned Hercules or Logan at the top of the ladder to prevent that. He finally put Quicksilver in range of Logan and Vulture but by then it was too late in the game and time ran out. I didn't do enough damage to take him out in one turn. I couldn't spread my guys out otherwise he would have had a 3 on 2. He was hoping to fly Thor in and do a running shot then attack with Hercules. I wasn't going him to let him get in range to do that. My strategy was to hit with Hercules on the first round (AV 11) and then with Logan (AV 9). I was able to taxi Logan around until he takes 2 clicks damage.
