View Full Version : Scenarios 100pt Figure "Draft" Tournament

So I've acquired all the 100pt pieces that are on a standard base, and there are currently 41 of them (hoping for a couple more in BatB).

My plan was originally to have people randomly draw their team from the pool, but then I decided that might simply lead to some really awful teams.

New plan: I loaded all the figs into an excel sheet and was thinking I could randomly generate a new list of 1-41 and re-sort the figs into that new order, then depending on the number of players present, break the total number of figures into groups to be drafted from.

So, should 13 people show up, I'd have 3 13-figure "boosters" where high roll would choose first and then so forth. Fewer people would mean more "boosters" with fewer figures in each. I'd probably reverse order for the second "booster" and then re-roll for the next, reverse the next, etc.

At the end of all the drafting, people would have x-figure teams (where x is the number of "boosters") with two rules stipulations.

1. Mastermind can be used to shift damage to pieces of equal value.
2. Mind Control of a target of exactly 100pts would not cause feedback damage (while multi-target would generate normal feedback damage; 2 targets hit would yield 2 damage).

So... does this all seem reasonable? Any pitfalls that I might want to avoid? Should I allow some amount of feats? BFCs?

Sounds like a fun scenario. Next you should try to get ahold of all the 50 point characters and do the same thing.

I would say that no feats would be your best option, since you have to have 100 points of feats to make an equal team (unless you wanted to add that to your scenario, which I would have fun with but few others would).

I was actually thinking of a flat 30pts of feats. So they have to be useful on anyone, but also could help out an otherwise iffy team. Uneven teams... but still basically uniform.

As for the 50s... I've already started looking into it. There appear to be less than 80 right now... so that might require 200pt teams possibly.

Thanks for the feedback! Rep given!

Also, I could add 99pt figures to get it to 42-51 (enough for 14-17 players and 3-fig teams).

But that list is definitely short, and I think I'd have to pick up a couple of them.
