Maybe a collectors set, not a full edition.

I could easily see another set that focuses on X-Men with an AoA sub-theme. The X-Men could also be tied into the War of Kings characters.
I'd rather see the Midnight Sons as part of a set that focuses primarily on the horror characters. Ghost Rider and his cast, Midnight Sons, The Night Shift, Brother Voodoo, etc. I'd be all for it.

Spot-on. I loved the story, thought it was great (the follow-up anniversary thing, no so much), and would love to see more AoA figs made into plastic crack. The story's Magneto and Apocalypse alone would make tremendous figs, not to mention Holocaust and, most especially, Nate Grey (X-Man)!

fantastic idea. I think it could be done with maybe half the set as AoA. I like the sub theme of Midnight Sons, and maybe another subtheme of Marvel 1602.

This I could support. This would also ensure regular sets would be free from AoA figures.

Nope. No interest in AoA at all, and not in Midnight Sons, either.
I like a few X-Men but not the mess that X-Men continuity became, and the Midnight Sons were all either better on their own or in smaller doses.
If they want to do AoA, then I think that it should be a sub-theme or just blended in to a set with the X-Men as the central theme.
While I wouldn't mind seeing such a set or collector's set, it ain't gonna happen. SI and Blackest Night have shown that, as far as storyline-based sets go, they're focusing on what's current in comics and not the past.

You're mistaken. The boards would be clogged with how Sabretooth&Wildchild duo sucks, how come Gambit doesn't have Leadership when he was leader of the X-ternals, and how came Holocaust isn't 300 points.

AoA Cyclops sums up everything I feel about AoA.

such a shame too. a lot of great stories happened before the introduction of heroclix. while SI and Blackest Night have been o.k. in my book the old saga like AoA, mystech wars, secret wars etc. etc. have all taken a back seat to bendis writing for marvel and that green lantern feller for d.c.

With as many polls and surveys as AoA has won, or at least placed in here on realms, I can't see why they wouldn't do it. It's X-Men centric so it would have a lot of popular characters already. Set themes don't have to encompass the whole set as we've seen in the past. There are usually many sub-themes and teams in there aswell.
Here's a few of the polls from the forum here.

I think they should do a X-Men set... This time they could actually get them closer to what they should be... Don't mess with any "Current" 616 X-men from MU they were great. I will also say I wouldn't mind an AoA Sub-Theme, and a Dark X-Men, Sub-Theme though that could tie in with the rest of the set. I wouldn't mind some remakes of some classic Villains either... Blob, Toad, Sauron, Mr. Sinister, Mystique(X-Factor keyword as well), Sabretooth, and Pyro even though they are a little on the corpse-ish side. I don't think it would be too much to ask would it?

NO.
AoA was a horrible storyline during yet another bleak, shallow time in the X-Men's history...

Though I gotta wonder about the ones they put in MnM. Of all the possible characters, they pick Cyclops and Jean Grey--and in a set that already had both. Dark Beast was cool though.

I think this would be awesome, and the one set that would make me start buying again! Of course, any good characters from that storyline would become chase figures ... of course!
I would LOVE to see a "Vengence Figure" from the 90's Ghost Rider series, and also have him on his bike! He had a cool looking one!
I've been wanting this for years. Pleaseeeeeee make ittttt

i like the first 1602 mini-series, voyage of the fantastik and the spider-man series got a little boring.
so here's what im thinking now.
AoA theme with midnight sons and 1602 sub-themes

Dude, I forgot all those guys! And the "caretaker!" Heck yeah that would be a kick@$$ set to go along with the AoA!! Make a set with just these two themes! Possibly a DareDevil in his Armor made from Spider Silk, as he was with Ghost Rider an issue or two with it. (if I remember correctly!)
Weird I forgot those guys, yet when you mentioned it? Suddenly I remember some of those as Action Figures, there were 2 sets, which I got for Christmas lol.

ah yes caretaker, also the daredevil in armor would be cool, which reminded me of the daredevil doppleganger that just looked like the devil from the movie "legend", which then reminded me of demogoblin. throw in a blackheart, zarathros, and johnny blaze with hellfire gun while were at it.

I'd love to see more AoA characters as perhaps a sub-theme to a set, but I really don't think an AoA themed set would sell very well.

Oh rep to you man!! I totally forgot that "Devil Doppleganger!!" He would look sssooo cool as a clix! With the thorns on his billyclub etc!
I would like to just see the AoA, Midnight Sons, and these two DareDevil in one set! So many characters in AoA itself!
So come on WK, this is a set I'd totally buy!!
I think a collector's set would be appropriate. With the Watchmen set we see that NECA is willing to break the tradition of 7 figures plus cardboard collector sets. So I see no reason why they couldn't do a decent roster of characters, pehaps a modest 12 to 15 pieces. A map of Apocalypse's temple/New York in ruins would be a flippin' sweet thing to throw in too.
I would hope the set might focus on key characters, and characters that had major differences from thier 616 versions.
Weapon X, the aforementioned Sabretooth+Wild Child duo, Apocalypse, Magneto, Sinister/Essex (AE mechanic possibility?), Nate Grey, Holocaust, Sugar Man, Havok, Rogue, Bishop, Sunfire (would be an awesome sculpt for sure!), and for the love of all that is decent a new Cyclops and Morph please.
Most of everyone else had the same power sets as their 616 versions, but their roles or allegiances were different (Cannonball as a villian, Quicksilver as a field leader, etc.)
Since AoA does not have a keyword, maybe they could make an alternate Team Ability card and go back and assign the keyword, or just name specific pieces as being compatible, ex. "all figures with (*) set symbol, (&) Nightcrawler, (#) Blink, and (@) Jean Grey and Morph may replace their TA with the following...."
<Looks up>. Wow, guess I've put some thought into this one.
Just saying, if they made it, I would buy it.
AoA was one of my favorite x-men stories, right after X-Cutioner's Song ( (I know, not a great story by any means, but it did heavily feature Cable, a favorite of mine) Both kept my interest and got me involved in my comics, which is more than I can say for much of what has happened since the late 90s in the x-books.

I loved the AoA X-Men storyline and especially the art from Joe Maduriera.
It was his artwork that got me hooked on it and the Kuberts did a great job too.
I've wanted an AoA Collector's Set and we could get some new and improved versions of X men characters based on MAD!'s artwork and that are also needing remakes:
Magneto
Rogue
Weapon X
Sunfire
Holocaust
Mr. Creed/Wild Child Duo
I'd just give them all the X men TA-not sure about keywords.

I've never bought a brick--a lot of boosters, big lots, and singles, but never a brick or case. If they make an AoA themed set, I'd pre-order a brick, if previews or spoilers warranted, maybe even a case. That says something.
what if they accidently threw in a blue beetle chase figure:grin:
Only if it's a Blue Beetle/Booster Gold duo.
And they give me two.
Bwa-ha-ha-ha!
